NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. on Monday released the launch trailer for upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X. The developer went the extra mile with the video, enlisting the help of System of a Down's Shavo Odadjian, who directed the trailer. It also features the band's iconic "Chop Suey" song.
The video highlights Mortal Kombat's numerous returning and new characters, and ends with a particularly brutal Fatality. Make sure to watch through to the end.
A special TV trailer for Mortal Kombat X, which features live-action footage and gameplay, also uses "Chop Suey" to great effect.
The Mortal Kombat X release date is April 14 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions, however, have been delayed.
