The last-gen edition of Mortal Kombat X, which is in development at the independent Chicago studio High Voltage, has been delayed.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of NetherRealm's flagship fighting game are now earmarked for release in the summer, a representative for Warner Bros told VideoGamer.com.

The publisher assured that there was no delay for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC editions. The release date for these remains April 14.

"Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer," the publisher said.

Since NetherRealm first announced Mortal Kombat X, in June, the studio has gradually revealed the game's comprehensive cast of characters. Details and images can be found below.
