Jason Voorhees, the iconic villain from the Friday the 13th horror movie series, will join Mortal Kombat X as a playable fighter, developer NetherRealm has revealed.
The news comes via a teaser video NetherRealm posted to its official Twitter account and which you can see above. It'll be interesting to see what kind of special moves and fatalities Jason Voorhees will bring to the fight, but for now all the teaser shows us is what he'll look like in the game.
Jason Voorhees will be one of four add-on characters included in Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack. NetherRealm previously said that the pack will include "Klassic Kombatants" and iconic guest characters. Jason Voorhees clearly falls into the former category.
In other Mortal Kombat X news, NetherRealm recently revealed that Johnny Cage, Mileena, and Sonya Blade are also playable characters in the game. Shinnok, Kenshi, and other characters also appeared in the game's opening act.
