Microsoft continues to add new titles to Xbox One's backwards compatible library. Major Nelson has announced that two more Xbox 360 games are now playable on the current-gen console, following the lone title that was added last week.

Headlining the newest batch of backwards compatible games is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, the 2013 installment in Ubisoft's stealth-action series. While the game was also released on Xbox One, players now have the option to play the 360 version on the console. Joining it is Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, the 2011 action RPG by developer Larian Studios.

As usual, if you own a physical copy of either game, you can now pop the disc into your Xbox One to initiate a download and start playing. Conversely, if you own the games digitally, you will find them waiting in the Ready to Download area of the My Games and Apps menu. Both titles are also available to purchase from the Xbox Store.

Microsoft has been regularly expanding Xbox One's backwards compatible library with new Xbox 360 games. Last week, the company added Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. A handful of original Xbox games are also now backwards compatible with Xbox One, although these will be added much less frequently than 360 titles. You can find the full list of Xbox One backwards compatible games here.

In related news, Microsoft has teased it is making some kind of announcement regarding original Xbox backwards compatibility very soon. Next week, the company said it will share a "big update" on the subject during the next episode of Inside Xbox, which is scheduled to air on April 10 at 3:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET.
