Mario Day Brings Wave Of Deals On Switch Games, Controllers, And More

The recently released Mario Red & Blue Edition Nintendo Switch console is back in stock for Mario Day at multiple retailers, including Walmart, GameStop, and Best Buy. The $300 bundle features a Mario-themed console, dock, and Joy-Cons and comes with a matching carrying case.

GameStop brought back one of its Black Friday Nintendo Switch promotions for its Tax Day sale, and it's still available this week for Mario Day. If you buy a Nintendo Switch Lite at its $200 list price, you'll get a drinkware set with four Mario glasses. The set is valued at $40 and comes with glasses featuring Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi. GameStop currently has the gray, coral, and yellow Switch Lite models available for this online-only deal.

Super Mario Maker 2 offers a ton of side-scrolling Mario fun whether you're creating your own levels or running through one of the thousands of user-created levels. Mario is nowhere to be found in Yoshi's Crafted World, but this is a classic Mario-style platformer through and through. The charming world was designed to look like cardboard, giving it a cutesy and distinct look that matches the lighthearted tone of the adventure. Super Mario Odyssey is one of the best games on Nintendo Switch. The 3D platformer adds a number of new tricks to Mario's arsenal thanks to the help of his sentient cap. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is a great compilation containing New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, both of which originally appeared on Wii U. Both side-scrolling Mario platformers feature inventive levels that shine on the Nintendo Switch hardware.

Amazon and Best Buy are selling Lego Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Course for $48, down from $60. This is the base Mario Lego set that comes with Mario and is required for use with the myriad of expansion sets. The Mario Starter Course is a 231-piece set and lets you design a small level featuring obstacles and enemies such as Goomba and Bowser Jr.

Hasbro's Super Mario Celebration edition of Monopoly released last year as part of Mario's 35th anniversary festivities. It plays mostly like regular Monopoly, but it's Mushroom Kingdom-themed. The houses are little Toad homes, while hotels become Peach castles. Instead of Chance cards, you press an interactive question block to determine your fate.
