This game could have been so much more if it were not so glitchy and had so many boring set pieces.
First complaint is that the difficulty is not even there. Sure, there are some parts that piss you off for the sheer repetitiveness and annoying enemies, but that's the hardest the game gets. Boss battles are usually fairly simple (I was expecting a lot more from the sentinel fight), and most of the time enemies are just something to kill and not something to really want to kill.
The game continues for seemingly ever with really boring set pieces. The weapon X facility never ended, Africa never ended, it just stretched on.
The attacks are pretty fun, and the brutal finishers and such are usually really good after spending hours playing this.
I noticed that it was kind of buggy, with invisible walls (I have not played a game in a long time with an invisible wall), enemies going off screen, and sometimes wolverines body started jerking around, which really felt bad.
The story was not very good, and did not explain much of anything. I guess you have to watch the movie to find out why deadpool wasn't cool and ended up being this loser final boss with absolutely no point. Why no mention of chimichonga's people? Deadpool is awesome, and you ruined him!
Another part I thought I would mention is that fact that when wolverine finishes fighting the sentinel on the ground, and it starts to fly, the arms you just blew off are back on it. And then in the flying sequence they are gone! Somebody wasn't paying attention.
Wolverine is a half-way decent rental, but deffinately not a buy. Be prepared for frustrating mini bosses, boring set pieces, and a story that just seems to be there, not giving us any back story or movie clips like other tie0in games that explain some stuff.
