Forget what these harsh critics are sayin..this is a fun game that captures the essence of Wolverine in all of his glory
I have put in a little over 10 hours playing this game, and I am having a hard time putting it away. The gore and primal rage that Wolverine displays on screen is an absolutely guilty pleasure.
Yes, I know that the sub-bosses are reused over and over, but I have a theory on that. I know the Weapon X program had many experiments on mutants, and these are a special type of bodygaurd that the scientists will unleash on their enemies, and this is why they are reused over and over. I do not like the fact that you can only kill them by jumping on their back and hacking away, but it is what it is. It is a small complaint compared to the fun had with this game. Especially when you have to fight more than one Leviathan, then you really have to use the dodging abilities and keep on your toes.
The graphics are not great, but they are also not bad. I was impressed with the cut-scenes and the in-game chracters. Yes, there is some bugs and glitches, but they are not game-breaking, so they do not matter to me. I have yet to freeze up or lose any of my progress so I do not consider this an issue.
The gameplay is tight, and this is a lot more than a button pushing game! If you learn the combos and are comfortable with the controls, you can pull off some beautiful but deadly combos that look awesome! The animations are top notch when fighting and even when you are just interacting with the environment. I love the environmental kills!
Anyways, this is the ultimate Wolverine experience and no one should miss this hidden gem!
