"My Spidey Sense is Tingling", only for die hard fans.
The graphics are cel-shaded for that comic/cartoon look, which is a nice touch, but not very detailed. Most of your favorite Villains are here but with the new Ultimate look.There are a handful of cameos, like Johnny Storm ( Fantastic Four) and Wolverine ( X -men). The control is spot on, but that camera will give you some trouble. Spider Man is not the only person you get to play as,there is also Venom. Venom is where this game shines! He is strong and fast. Too many people shooting at you and choppers giving you a hard time? Just pick up a car and throw it at them. The only down side to Venom is you must always absorb health from people and not that many stages to play as him. The game can be spilt in three parts, fighting,chasing and Boss fights. You will do those over and over, but mostly chasing.
After you start to like the game, it's over (Takes about 7 hours to finish). That's right, just when things where getting good and your ready for the next task in the game, you get the ending. There is extras to unlock, but there is too much trouble to do them all. There are lots of costumes, but none of them look that great. There is also comic covers of the first 75 issues of Ultimate Spider Man,concept art, and land mark pictures. If you like the comics or everything Spider Man, you'll like this game in your collection. For the rest of you , you might want to rent it, and return it the next day.
