Torchlight 1 was just released on linux via the Humble Indie Bundle. If they could port that, I see no reason why they couldn't do the same with TL2 unless they've designed a completely new engine from the ground up that heavily relies on D3D.
Deus Ex HR was a great game, but what made it great were the mechanics, not so much the plot and characters. Even if done well, it'll just translate to a same-same, been there done that sort of movie. Whatever... if it leads to Eidos Montreal getting more cash to make great games, I'm all for it!
@Slim_Lyrics Sure you have every right to criticize it, but that doesn't mean that the artists should bow to your POV and change the original piece of art. Can you imagine if Leonardo had shown off the Mona Lisa to some big shot gallery owner and heeded the advice to "get rid of that goofy look on her face"?
@supertom221 I wouldn't go "that" far. Think of the Planescape universe from DnD. It completely eschews all those typical "Tolkien" fantasy conventions.
