@ghost140: It got their attention cause of that stupid video by YongYea, who pretends to be a journalist while offering the investigation and insight of a potato.

He has plenty of subs, and of course remember, CDPR are way more famous and known than ever before, so get use to every news being exaggerated one way or another.

@bat725: indies rarely thrive on consoles unless sony or ms try hard to shove in the face of people how it's an exclusive and bla bla bla.

However, if this does good on pc, like it totally could, it could give it some general attention for console peeps or at least set up a sequel later.

@Legend_of_Link:

2000 dollars pc? lol.

A friend of mine plays this with a super old pc that has just 4GBs of DDR2 RAM (yeah 2) and a cheap low tier intel core 2 duo cpu, topping it off with a 750ti. According to him its one of the best performing and looking games he tried and we play online regularly in a campaign.

@kyotoforever: Yes you can play coop with 3 other people and all of them participate in quests together or independently, they aren't just your buds playing the typical slave companions of usual RPGs .

Also dont worry about the combat, its perfectly well made and even if you dont like it you have a mode for story/exploration.

Just dont expect every battle to be won in the first try like other games, if you lose, and it seems super hard, you go away to do something else, do some quests, or practice, come back with a good strategy in mind and it all works out.

I'm playing with 2 friends, both noobs, one doesnt even understand english much so his choice of skills and char development are irregular, and we have a great time.

@DIOSNY: better a walking simulator with almost no gameplay, than a game with lots of bad gameplay.

At least the former doesn't get in the way of potential good stuff that the game might have.

@yukushi: nah man, they made the best Mafia game: the first one.

They also made Mafia 2 but were rushed by the publisher though so it wasn't as complete.

@starjay009: ehh...because of the resolution and frame rate? thats the whole point. There are also other improvements I've heard, like variable refresh rates for instance, but its mainly that.

I don't remember their exact statement, so I can't quote, but I'm confident I'm remembering the conclusions properly, and they make sense too btw: Scorpio runs games at a quality similar to that of XB1, but it runs them at 4x their resolution, some of them even at 60fps, others at 30fps.

@rawkstar007: oh it will look amazing on the Pro I'm sure, I was just pointing out that 4k on it with this game seems unlikely.

I don't know much about it, but I do know it doesn't have hardware anywhere near capable to offer 4K unless its with low settings quality, and I remember seeing the Pro does BF1 and Horizon at about 2k aprox., which is half.

This game is looking really good!, surely it will be among the most taxing ones out there.

@livedreamplay: It kinda depends on whats the current position of the company and the market I think, when you're not "in power" so to speak, I agree with you its more direct and natural to just fit in, it makes sense as a general principle beyond this subject. But today Sony are ruling, there's fewer games than in the 90s and early 2000s with more concentrated budgets, not to mention that this trend also concentrates on a few IPs. All this puts control at the hands of 2 or 3, who then only have to control half a dozen or less big IPs to use as easy leverage.

Anyway, its all so mindbogglingly complex and unpredictable we could both be right or wrong imo. It's nice that you were willing to discuss though.

I hope things change positively the way I envision it one day, but at least I like the idea of Playstation Now for example.
