how can i say any exciting comment when i happily downloaded it for few hours just to get a black screen?

my ps3 is japanese 20gb model.

reports says euro ps3 models gets the "insert disc" message.

oh well they say fix is on the way. hopefully it wont take long.

anyway i hope the final game has more frames/higher framerate because every video ive seen about this game is somehow sluggish. or is this just how the ps3 games work, "beautifully sluggish?" or is it just my oddly cheap 19" 1080p hdtv?

tis a long topic, i just wanted to see what games support mouse and keyboard and the only answer i get from reading these farms of blabbers is that Half Life on PS2 is the only known console game that supports mouse and keyboard.

there are pheripherals that converts the mouse and keyb to emulate the controller such as the fragFX /max shooter / smartjoy so all you cry babies stop whinning, people can still own you even if the Game doesnt support mouse and keyb directly. it is just better that game directly support mouse and keyboard so nobody has to buy such converters to fight back and even up the game.

in conclusion after reading the very long thread game that support mouse+keyb:

PS2 = 1 (half life)

PS3 = 0

you have a powerful card dude.

although its just on par with 7900gtx its still powerful. and is a DX10 card.

you can play games on it on what ever max resolution your monitor has and set graphics details to medium (recently released 2007 games) or high (games released on 2006).

you can also use max detail if the game is released on 2005 and older.

---------------------------------------------------

UPDATE:

ok my bad, the 8500 is not on par with the 7900gtx, during the date i posted this i havent read stuff.

the real deal is the geforce 8500 is almost equal with 7600, but the 8500 has dx10 and some minor extra stuffs.

geforce 8800 gts 640mb

9070 on 3dmark06

plays every game on max detail.

uninstalled spiderman 3 because it looks like a ps2 game and makes me dizzy and worst of all i cant see the context button to press when i use my sixaxis on PC, using the keyboard still displays the buttos to press but heck its troublesome.

if i were to manage SCE just to properly boost up the company here are some things i would do.

*hire back kutaragi - this person invented the playstation line-up, i wouldn't want him creating better things for other companies.
*fire those Sony PR and advertising people and change them with new fresh people with great ideas - no sony ad seems to be of use, what we already saw didnt even make us buy games. people needs to be intrigued to be able to look and notice those ads.
*make a single sony computer spokesperson - having too many sony officials just makes matters worse, stop phil harrison or jack tretton, make kaz the official one because he had the most famous comment which is just two words but stayed in the minds of lots of people "RIDGE... RACEEEEEER...". no more announcing of wacky things, psp mirror for f1 game, rumble last gen, just deliver em functionalities.
*stop MEH (mediocre) games reaching the PSN (not PS1 titles for psp) - i mean why devote work force on games like mortal kombat 2, or championship sprint, come on you know these games are overshadowed, people are gonna purchase it only because they have no choice. instead do some talks and business with games that matter, yes the PSN has good library but i think its not enough, i say no to rehash games unless it has something special to deliver like the upcoming SSF2THDR. Puzzle quests is also a great game.
*provide more info about ps3's functionalities - the ps3 is a very sophisticated machine which do mostly everything you would want in a computer, it has parenting controls but does any parent know there is one and do they know how to use it? parents can set it so that even if the kids put some mature games/movies it will NOT play. on linux side, why not include a linux installation DVD and a booklet/instruction on how to install/use or just pre-install it, the linux version must be the simplest yet functional.

there are lots of things i think will be helpful to SCE but i will save it for another time. feel free to voice out your own ideas or just add some to the thread. negative comments from microsoft fanboys (nintendo boys dont do bad comments you know) please feel free to not comment at all.

[QUOTE="Ephexis"][QUOTE="CaptHawkeye"]

[QUOTE="DaGamer77"][QUOTE="xche78x"]Intel Type PC
cpu chip - get the cheapest core 2 duo or pentiums 4 / D which are on sale throughout this year $100-$300
mobo - anything that works with cpu's above $50-$300
decent Geforce gpu - from geforce FX 5xxx, geforce 6xxx, geforce 7xxx, $50-$600
memory - DDR2 of course - 512MB-2GB - $50-250/each
monitor - anything capable of 1024 or above - $60-$thousands depends on size and model
power supply/case/mouse/keyboard/speaker/table/chair - $20-$150
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I Recommend
cpu - core 2 duo = 305
mobo - asus = 80
gpu - geforce 7600 = 180
memory - 1GB = 90
monitor - used 17" or 19" = 50
extras = 100
----------------------------------------------
this is the cheapest pc setup that can fully play (30-60FPS) all games until 2006 or early 2007.
CaptHawkeye

Thanks for the info

Duo core is in dispute. Frankly, I find Dual Cores to be a waste of money. Of the two CPUs, only one is actually used. The other one is a backup incase the first one fails. This means that your system will rarely freeze, but one has to wonder if thats worth another 200 dollars.

Your better off with a 2.4 Ghz single processor.

BullSh*T !!
dual core processors dont have an extra core incase the first one fails
that is insane.
dual cores, are processors with 2 cores, basically 2 brains instead of 1
however this doesnt mean that a dual core 2 ghz = a single core 4ghz

in the near future programmes will start using both cores and all the 1's and 0's will be processed alot faster
this means that your pc will work alot faster..
and also games, (when developers start coding for dual core's )
the games will run smoother and stuff

i cant explain it good
but i know this much
a dual core isnt a processor with a spare core incase one fails
their both used equally

its like saying a massive lorry has 18 wheels incase one of them punctures
¬_¬

Jesus people. Forgive me if i'm not one to jump headfirst into the "latest and greatest". Just so you know, newer technology is not necessarily better technology.

well it is, for the information of the misleaded too, multi core cpu's are praktical for people like me that uses the PC as a multipurpose appliance, eg movies, music, gaming, ne, etc. multi core cpu are multi times faster in encoding of videos/music and everything on dektop processing because windows uses ALL cores hence FASTER. and gaming are now supporting more cores. my recommendation is just a little pricey but it can sure run games released on 2007 with some gfx tweaking eg medium detail instead of high which doesnt take much fun out of a game. try playing supreme commander.

or you can buy a $300-$500 pre-built by some manufacturers,  that will have either celeron or low class athlon and built in graphics, and will play crappy. ^_^
