@vegard1985 I didn't mean it financially. Financially they're doing better than they have before, much better lol I mean in quality of the game they're producing/have produced. GTA V wasn't the 10/10 it was meant to be for single player and now Online is completely broken. What's worse is that it isn't a "only some people can't get on" situation, it's a "only some people can get on" situation. I haven't heard many people talking about their online experience, only very few so far. Some people are currently saying it's better at the moment. I've noticed it has gradually got better so they must be implemented server side fixes on the fly.
These tips would be useful if the GTAO worked. R* aren't having a good year at all. Bugs and glitches are okay but this isn't a bug or glitch, at this stage it's just a broken game lol At least it gives me time to steal a Jet for Franklin's hangar.
Well from what I saw in the gameplay videos (which are compressed anyways) the graphics looked really good and smooth. Hopefully it balances well though. I'd have prefered maybe 40fps as the stable point to compensate for any FPS drops though. But this is the least of my concerns, I'm more worried about functionality. Ubisoft like keeping their games familiar now days, which is good as it allows you to just get right into it without fussing about what's going on with the controls or UI, but too farmilar is a bad thing. Watch Dogs is slowly, slowly starting to look like AC not from the gameplay side of things I mean parkour is parkour and parkour is cool no matter what game it's in but the side missions and stuff look very AC so far. Mainly the parts where you have to hack a station or central point to unlock an area of the map to hack. AC had it's viewpoints which was okay and worked. Far Cry 3 had it's radio towers, a bit meh and lazy-ish but they pulled it off. Now WD has hack points? Getting too familiar now.
@TheRetawes Exactly, which is why I'm a little concerned though. Usually they'd have announced this for the whole of Europe. I'm checking EB Games like a mad man to make sure I don't miss a chance. I'd ask them about it but they will obviously deny any knowledge of it coming to Aus at this stage so they can get people pre-ordering the standard versions. But fingers crossed a bundle does come. I only really want the controllers and camera and seeing as UK is getting it pretty much the same price as their standard I hope in Aus we can get it $549 or at maximum $600. I'd easily pay that for a bundle.
I really hope this comes to Aus, mainly for the controllers and camera. When I got Ps3 I made sure I got the pack with 2 controllers. And I wouldn't mind Killzone to. I mean the bundle is likely to come to Aus at somepoint but I hope it comes before launch day because I don't want to lose money trading in a used Ps4 >.>
Tuckpoint is right, having unlocked a higher level Assault Rifle (e.g.) earlier than someone else doesn't make them better. If someone has better skills than that rifle will mean shit all lol.
It's also good for people who don't have tonnes of time on their hands to grind to unlock everything, especially if you're doing non-PvP stuff. No1 likes to come home from work just to work AGAIN in a video game.
I probably won't be buying any of the money, but I also have a lot of free time on my hands at the moment so I have the freedom to play for free as long as I want. Not everyone else does. R* have also confirmed there are no paid for items with real currency. It's just converting real $ to virtual $. The business model itself isn't an issue, it never really has been, it's how it's executed. R* have also mentioned in their newswire that there will be constant balancing updates done to the game. But again, Skill > items most of the time.
Thank god it's not pay to win. As long as it's only currency I'm okay with that. I don't entirely respect their decision though. And as long as they have the non-PvP maps like in RDR I'll be happy with that. I honestly just want to do missions and heists and free roam with friends/co-op all without being annoyed by random idiots. Don't care much for any competative gameplay at this stage.
@Moegitto When I say pay to win I mean like buying an RPG that no one else can earn through the game sort of thing. Like an OP RPG or gun of some sort. Stuff like money boosts or exp boosts to me, are generally not pay to win. It gives an advantage yes, but otherwise in things like PvP getting gear that can already be earned in game won't do much good if skill is involved lol I've seen it too many times in games like BF3 where people were buying those early unlock packs, they were useless if you didn't know how to use them.
That's a bit of a deal breaker, I like to sit my consoles on the desks when I move them into my room once in a while and I don't have the space to sit it horizontal. Hopefully they address this at somepoint as I can imagine other people would have space issues as well and probably worse than my case.
