i think SONY is going after film industries rather than game industries.

also note that CELL and RSX could work in conjunction to produce these magical effects that outstrips the competitors

well it would be giving film industries a hard time ....why would we even think of much inferior Wii/x360

lol, crysis looks 10x better

R&C has wayy better lighting than CRYSIS and wayy better textures.

plus R&C supports post data streaming which CRYSIS doesnt.

this is going to look like a pixar movie with graphics, possibly better than GeoWlennygundam14

ps3 has wayy better lighting and even the ports like VT3 murders x360 version at 1080p.

GEOW incorporated data streaming through unreal engine 3 which basically makes up for the lack of the system ram.

However DVD alllows only a restrained SEEK TIME so what you saw in GEARS actually doesnt represent streaming at its full glory.

Wait for R&C to be dazzled by the new tech. INSOMNIAC might not use the ram at all!!!!!!! since BD allows constant data fetching

also note that because of post data streaming + additional cache memory in the ps3....the 512 mb of ps3's ram would be more than sufficient to handle graphics like that ...+ the BD disk could hold large textures thus reducing the frequent needs for direct mapping.

just shows your ignorance of not being able to read and not knowing the architecture of the PS3. this demonstration was using ONLY 1 OF THE 7 SPEs in each of the PS3s. So it was basically using 3 SPEs to do this redering without the RSX. Lets see the 360 do it on just one of it's cores.

people dont actually read the whole stuff and make unnecessary comments.

3 ps3s (each using 1 spe only ) demontrated the online data streaming when used in a network.

just imagine the graphical quality when used with RSX.

Basically 3 spes can render a model 75x more complex than what a model high end CPU-GPU setup could achieve

a single SPE is more than capable of doing this.

3 ps3s were used to demonstrate the online data streaming.

in the final version....a single SPE + RSX would be sufficient to run the demo at 1080p at 60fps.

The code was written using IBM Cell SDK 2.0 on Linux. The iRT is totally scalable and only requires one Cell SPE to run. More PS3s = More SPEs = Higher client frame rates. All images are at least 720p 4x multi-sampled, with dynamic light sources, procedurally generated atmosphere, and dynamic shadows"

Expect yourselves to see super duper lighting in KILLZONE 2 ,LAIR , HS and R&C
