Microsoft needs to stop talking. Every time they talk they sound like a bunch of idiots. "We don't like the name but it's clever, and it will probably stick, but its not really flattering but, it's ok.. I guess".

does Microsoft have a PR department?

I really enjoyed playing through this remake since it was such a long time since I last played Wind Waker. However, the things that drove me crazy about the original still drives me crazy this time around. Many of which the reviewer here points out. I'd add to the list the wind temple which I found frustrating for reasons it should not have been and the final battle with ganon's puppet forms. The triforce fetch quest, while improved, is still an annoyance. Still, I could actually go for another Zelda made with the same style and visual look of this HD remake. It's definitely very charming.

I don't think I could handle working on the same franchise for 10+ years so I don't blame them.

GTA IV got 10's and in retrospect I think the game was over-rated. Even in 2008, I was frustrated with IV's mission structure (restarting the driving sequence over and over, etc.), the driving mechanics were weird, and the combat wasn't all that hot. I suspect 5 years from now people will say Gamespot got it right about GTA V.

There are not a lot of games coming out of japan these days that I'm excited about. Japan used to be the epicenter for games development and I think now does it isn't. The more influential designs are coming from places all around the world. However, I think there is still good stuff coming and I think Japan is aware they need to continue to learn from the larger development community to keep up and stay relevant.

I don't understand why it is so hard for them to implement a unified profile system across their platforms.

its good (and necessary) to get out there and promote your game and get excitement going for it. But it seems like hyping like this usually doesn't work out so well... you either build expectations that can't possibly be met or you cause people to roll their eyes.

they aren't very specific on how exactly it can only be done on new hardware, are they? :) I tried a little of the original game I didn't much like it. I like how the look of the game is different, but for whatever reason I just don't dig the aesthetic.

I still haven't played RE6 despite having purchased it when it came out. After talking with someone who played it I decided I should just pretend it doesn't exist. Hopefully they will get back to the series' roots with 7.
