@FkzAz @trueepower44 @Alucard_Prime Well one thing to mention about the megaserver, is that it allows better balancing for pvp action. That is a strength of having that type of server for an MMO. You won't see one side having more players than another, because each can be balanced using that type of technology. So I do think people need to realize the power of the megaserver, and the benefits can provide for pvp action. Which is not very fun when one side is heavily more populated than another (especially when you have three sides).
@Devil_78 I am not going to tell people how they should spend their money. Personally, 15 dollars a month for a game is very little of my concern (really it doesn't concern me at all), if the game delivers. I respect those who want to hold onto their money and spend it differently. That is a personal decision. FTP is broken, and I've yet to see a game deliver what I want in a game, with that type of model in place.
@Alucard_Prime There are times when you are grouped up, that grouping can give you some issues. I will give a good example of this. In a quest from the mages guild, I was playing with my wife, and it intended up being an individual instance type of quest. We were sent to different instances. I am not sure if she had the same quest (made the same decision), but those types of things can happen in ESO. What Kevin didn't really focus on is that there are normal MMO 4 player dungeons which will operate the same as other MMO's (and will not give you problems). Overall, there will be a few times while grouping that these issues happen. In my opinion, they are not any where near game breaking (as Kevin talks about).
@Kayweg @trueepower44 It's easy to be critical of MMO's in general. What MMO delivers better quests with voice overs? What MMO delivers overall better questing? I would like to know these things.
Also, what MMO has better pvp, and character customization? I would like to know this as well.
What MMO right now is better than this game? Kevin thinks GW2 is better than this game? I mean really, that's what he thinks? I played GW2 and the game was incredibly boring. The graphics weren't better, the character customization was not better, the crafting was not better, the items were not better, the pvp was not better, the combat was not better.... free to play yes. Better overall gaming experience no.
People who don't want to pay 15$ dollars can go play GW2, and play a lesser game.
@mikz_nyc @trueepower44 @FkzAz The character customization for Oblivion, even 8 years ago was horrible. Oblivion didn't do much more than Morrowind did in terms of character customization and that was a huge let down.
@mikz_nyc @trueepower44 @FkzAz I respect the older games, heck I beat Morrowind on the Xbox back in the day. It was a great game. But, personally the single player games from ES have gone down hill from there. Customization has been horrible, and that right there has hurt both the last two games of the series with Oblivion, and Skyrim. Both horrible character customization, especially Oblivion. ESO has better character customization of any ES game to date.
@mikz_nyc @FkzAz @trueepower44 No one objectively who rates this game, can rate this game below 7.5, and that is pushing it. An 8 really at least is what this game should get.
You might be disappointed, you have that right to be.
But, best MMO out right now.... is ESO.
Just looking at the PVP, there is no game that is better right now.
Character customization, any MMO better? nope.
Those are strong points to argue against, a 6 is just not looking at the game objectively.
@Hiraishin @trueepower44 I've encountered a few bugs, but that is to be expected when you play an MMO, and one that is as complicated and huge as this one. It's going to happen.
