@ghettalife I won't lie, I am a fanboy. But I also like my xbox & 360 & my PS1,2,3. I also can admit you are right, to a point. But since they're trying to build a user base they're going to have to do what they're good at, IE established names as well as new IP's. They have to be careful about what new IP's they try or else they'll lose their @ss period. If the coward third party didn't jump ship when they didn't sell 5 mil in a month Nintendo could try more new IP's. Myamoto has said he's developing one right now.
So, no, I didn't miss your point ;) & while not quite as long as you, I've been a gamer for 31-32 years now.
@Coco_pierrot Very true. Nintendo/NES/Mario brought the video game industry after the 80's disastrous collapse. Without Nintendo there wouldn't be a Playstation. Nintendo brought Sony in to help make a cd based peripheral for the SNES. Things fell through & Sony made the PS.
Why does he say "bought a system to play great games" when all they are focusing on is watching tv & waving your hands at the Kinect etc. I didn't want the 360 Kinect & if I had my choice I wouldn't get this gens version either. Just as I don't give a shit about Kinect or PSEye, I could give a shit about which is stronger or which graphics looks better, just as I have never cared which console's graphics looks better. It's if I like the games being released.
I will buy both XBONE & PS4 to go with my WII U. All 3 consoles of this gen have games I am really excited for, so instead of being a fanboy & missing out on great games, I will be enjoying games which is what being a gamer is about.
