Usually a review under 7 for a shooter type game is enough for me not to buy it. But this being a review made by Carolyn Petit and seeing how she gives low points to good games and high points to not-so-interesting games...I'll give it a shot.
Games like Bioshock, Stalker and Metro really make me happy. Because they prove that is more to FPS genre than just mindlessly shooting enemies. FPS games have great potential and games like these really unlock it.
Strike suit series is the only space sim where I get some kind of vertigo while abruptly changing directions. Which is how it should be since there's no gravity in space, but your body is used to it.
I really hope that this game will have an interesting story. But for now it seems that it's all about the ass. I will still play it, ass is always good, but I prefer ass and story.
So what do you want, Carolyn? More female characters in games? The ability to choose the gender? We, and by we I mean gamers, don't really care if the character is a male, a female or a lizard as long as they have a nice story. As for feminism...I don't really see the connection between feminism and games. Games are for fun, gender equality is for real life.
If they're publishing a new game every year I automatically assume that they use the same textures as the last one. And being EA I think that they're going COD over this one.
