The game still has 4 months to go before release...if we state what we see wrong now through these videos, my be the developers will notice the necessary changes needed to be made before release. Tearing down the game before game play is not going to help incorporate your changes. I personally hate the "follow", the arrows, the routes indicated...those sort of things are unnecessary I feel. If squad base, then you follow your sq. Also you should be able to provide flanking without the out-of-bounds clock going off or your team telling you to return. More freedom of movement if necessary.
Why is it the people in demonstrations always have horrible aim? I mean, its like they're trying to miss.
The game will never look this good on ps3 or xbox. Just like when BF3 came out the preview's looked awesome but it was all pc footage on the highest settings. I am exited that it's going to play with 64 players that is going to be chaos.
graphic looks great but somethings dont make sense to me like geting on or off the car or getting on the machin gun that he instantly got on it and its had no animation! and the worst part for this realistic game is that cutting off the leg part that he just cut it like a carrot!! otherwise these parts it looks awesome!
just give me as much environmental destructibility as in BFBC2 (or better) and I will be happy to let myself screw again by EA.
Well, I enjoyed BF3 a lot than COD or Alien. If EA really into this BF4, I hope BF4 got more Guns, More Explosion, More Destructive, More Maps and More Variaty in Gameplay
cant say i'm excited for the game. several DLCs launched which could have definitely help BF3 remain for awhile and now this gets shoved out. i also just saw the BF3 complete collection...whos gonna wanna purchase that =\
Battlefield 4, Frostbite 3...... oh, I get it, just put higher numbers in front of the names and people will buy like candy !
I think I saw that happening before......
COD is much better, because it's fun, like a game should be, not only graphics like BF. But, like someone said here, Bad company is much more enjoyable than BF.
Battlefield 4 demo was running on 3K resolution .
another stupid game about bad russians and heroic american oil "democracy". maybe as a technical achievement it is great, but it is absolute dumb insult to brains. games like this teach only way to bring peace is war - it is global idea. but too bad as forum is filled with nobrain kids that never held a book in their entire live so games such as this one will "teach what's good". ea with their dumb games makes me sick.
Seems like Battlefield 4 is trying too hard to take on the role of both Medal of Honor and Call of Duty 3 with lackluster AI (Friendly and Hostile), Hollywood style sequences, a team taking out a much larger enemy, and apparently at the end, poor plot/narrative. Fortunately no one buys a Battlefield game for its singleplayer. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem much change or improvement from Battlefield 3 that would warrant a full price of $60.
If it wasn't for the Battlefield 4 title, I would've thought this to be a trailer for Bad Company 3.
I don't like quicktime events. They're annoying. I did enjoy battlefield 3 despite them but surely there's a better way of doing things than having you bang on a button in order to beat up a guy. I've already read another article where they mention quicktime events as a way of interacting with the game which is a bad thing in my opinion. http://www.game-debate.com/news/?news=4397&game=Battlefield%204&title=Next-Gen%20Needs%20To%20Be%20More%20Than%20Polygons%20Says%20Battlefield%204%20Dev
So my advice to the developers would be get rid of quicktime events. Do something original for a change. Every game these days is using QUICKTIME EVENTS and they ARE CRAP.
Hey can anyone tell me why the evac helicopter didn't just land on the road after they cleared all the enemies and instead forced the squad to spend 10 minutes making their way up a crumbling building? Is it some military protocol that all soldiers getting an evac have to be dicked around just to prove they want an evac badly enough to deserve one?
Nice gphx, nice sound design and same old sh*t.
ruined houses, jungles, same guns, same concept etc... not a piece of originality. i'm sick of these games. where are the real fps' for gods sake? i miss the days when we had quake, doom, soldier of fortune, half life, wolfenstein, unreal... it seems we wont be seeing anything like them anytime soon.
@pidow like flashpoint!
@5Farshid Realism? Like getting hit by bullets and healing in a few seconds and going about your business as if nothing happened?
@simon1812 I'm down with the enviro destruct! Should be a requirement for FPS games nowadays. This is looking pretty scripted though. Gettin' hard to tell Call of Battlefield Honor apart anymore...................if you know what I mean.
@chitosan87 which none of it u will get. trust me
@Mauro Figueiredo ill make a wlid guess and say you dont know much about games.. For example, did you know that Bad Company and Battlefield are the SAME FUCKING GAME?
@Skakruk u r an idiot, u blinded by a romanticized concept of peace, what is peace but the calm before the storm? hm? I bet u watch the stuff happening between North Korea and South Korea and u think " its all good as long as they dont go to war with each other" is that right? thats like watching an idiot walking into a gas station as he light a cigaret and one says "it is alright as long as it doesnt start a fire"
my point, eventually, nations go to war and pansies like u r never part of the solution, military action is by far the most viable option to end a conflict, I dont need a videogame to teach me this, u can find this stuff in history books.
@Skakruk This is why it is called a game and not International Relations 101. It is made to be escapist. The true idiot is the one who looks at a work of fiction for any guidance toward resolving real world problems.
@Skakruk Right, EA should only make games that teach what is really good and stop tricking these kids, definitely stop making shooting games about war, and only make games that cater to kids that read a lot of books. While they're at it, they should make a game where Russians and Americans hold hands while driving hybrid cars. Sounds like a smart game to me. Not this trash!
@Skakruk I assume You have not purchased any call of duty games in the past few years. Battlefield at least tries new things instead of re-skins of the same engine every year.
@Bird_Killer i think you may have cast too wide a judgement a bit too early here. first of all, with regards to the AI (i wasn't really looking at friendlies) but the enemy didn't seem too bad, just a bit static (which is to be expected in a defensible position like a building).
for the small group taking out a larger force, do bear in mind that they were a very well armed force (with support weapons and a grenade launcher), they had cover, and were able to prepare for the arrival of the enemy (who had no cover), they also had significant air support.
@quinnd6 i guess if a quick time event was actually used to determine the direction of the game (like heavy rain), then i can see some serious potential, i guess a lot of dev's use them like a "press for next scene" kinda thing
@quinnd6 I disagree. Quick time events are a great element when used properly. They allow the player to do things they wouldn't be able to do with normal controls. Cheesy quick time events that aren't any more dazzling than regular gameplay events should be removed, but there are some pretty good quick time events. Games like God of War and Vanquish used quick time events very effectively.
that is a stupid question lmao its a video game , not real life you raging botfly
@krev23 Because Video Games.
@iknowthepiecesf Bioshock infinite is here already my friend
@iknowthepiecesf If you don't like this type of game then don't play it. You could try Bioshock: Infinite, Doom 3: BFG, Rage, Halo 4 (if u have an Xbox), Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, Dishonored, Borderlands 1&2, Metro 2033 (or the upcoming sequel). There are plenty of other types of games, or you can try playing another Genre.
