Did you enjoy this video?
i really want a Unreal Tournament 4 in UnrealEngine 4 for my PC

I wish I could do something about this FFing website destroying your text before you finish typing because it automatically it moves on to another totally unrelated video after this one has finished. Whoever is responsible needs a kick up the ass.
Tech Demo for what? LOL I did'nt see ANYTHING that impressed me. Meh is right. Looked like a Trailer for Crackdown 3 to me lol. Tech demos normally should show us something new? Back to the drawing board guys the engine is dated and its starting to show, hurry before you go the way if ID.
"Graphic don't matter, only gameplay does".
Lol, right. Try games like Bf3 and crysis in 8-bit style. Than tell me it dont matter.
The textures and lighting effects/atmosphere is awesome, but it doesn't look like it shows anything new in the way of super realistic physics, which is where the next Source engine and the new Frostbite engines are going to excel, in my opinion. However I feel like the majority of developers are just going to use the new Unreal engine because they've always been using the prior versions.
I hope they use Half Life 3 engine to remake Day of Defeat, that´s a good game.
I think we now live in a world where gameplay matters more the just cinematics. In my opinion, this looks cool, but overall this is way overhyped.
I don't understand why some people here continue to say moronic things like "graphic is not important, what's important is the game itself".
This is stupid, really. I mean, it's not that i don't agree with that, it's just that this is a tech demo for an ENGINE!!!
For the love of god, how the hell is relevant in this context the overall quality of a game?
Some of you talk as if having great graphics will transform developers in complete morons that can't do good games. Well, let me tell you, that's NOT TRUE.
Great developers will still be great developers and bad ones will continue to suck, the only difference is that with new engines (not necessarily this one, i'm talkin in general) there will be the POSSIBILITY to create games with better graphics and, even if it's 100% true that great graphics doesn't necessarily translate in better games, it's also 100% true that better graphics is certaily not a negative aspect.
I'm just tired to hear people talking about improvements in graphics as if that automatically means less creativity, talent, artistic value (etc.etc.) in games when actually all those things are clearly not related to technological improvements like a new engine.
It doesnt matter much what graphic engine a game uses, its all done to the talent and creativity of the developers and artists to maximise its full potential. Lazy developers can create a game using the latest engine but finish products will just look previous gen. Rushing out products, competing with other games, impatient publishers, shareholders are just few reasons why graphic engine wont matter. Current Hardwares are ready and able to handle and most even ahead of the many graphic engines but its all down to the artists.
oh yay more browns and greys with tons of guys shooting each other.
Thanks but i'll still take games like valkyria chronicles, tf2, uncharted, darksiders, etc with actual aesthetics. Artistic flair over brown and grey shooters anyday thanks.
guys please don't be naive. running on a single gtx 680?????????? really? you believe this? just take a closer look. the textures, models ,shadows and lights are like the ones are used in freaking movie CGs.
This looks cool and all but WHERE IS THE GAMEPLAY! Cinematic trailers cannot be compared to actual in game footage!
Very impressive to be running on a single 680. Swap it out with 3 Titans and I wonder what it can do. The unreal engines have always been the smoothest running engine with the least demanding hardware requirements.
Also why cant the bad guys ever learn how to shoot....
Should have been posted in 1080p...
but nice video, impressive.
i "love it" when MOST of the time they do this kind of sci-fi, futuristic, hi-tech scene/theme... everything else is hi-tech except for the weapons... its the same old plain old lame old (lame ass that is) machine gun/gatling gun shit... its so... whats the word im looking for... ah yes innovative !
Ahhhhhhhh..... I need GTX Titan..... ~_____~
Unfortunately, game developers never tap the full potential of a system until it is nearing the end of it's life cycle. Though, it is still nice to know the potential exists.
if this is what mass effect 4 will look like then i'll be impressed.
I think the unreal engine 4 is kick arse. It still is very impressive never less!
Probably using Nvidia titans or a few gtx 690s. Only when the hardware is not a strong as we think is when it is impressive. One word.. efficiency
tech demo? all it was is a CGI short clip which is nothing remarkable.
Warning: Don't get too excited about next gen!!! There will still be many unpolished games like Resident Evil Raccoon City, and The Walking Dead Survival Instinct, LOL
GIVE US UDK WITH UE4 ALREADY!!!!!
@feathers632 I don't think anyone likes that "feature."
@Hungryarmadillo You didn't see anything that impressed you. That's actually nothing to brag about. It shows you simply don't comprehend the scope of what you're looking at so you dismiss it as unimpressive. In essence you're bragging about being a dimwit.
@nairz BF or Crysis in 2D 8bit would be awesome.
@cdozier86 That might be the case but the can always use something like Havoc for the physics part
@MalakTawus Yes, what you're seeing is that people tend to be miserable and complaining. They often behave like spoiled brats. This tech video gets a lot of hate because it's not showcasing a forthcoming game. They resent it. I look at this video and it shows just how far computer graphics have come since the 80's. Some years ago this would have to have been pre-rendered.
@MalakTawus It's simple: nobody wants to play a tech demo. It's not to say that graphics are unimportant, but rather game developers shouldn't be negligent in other areas. The best example I can think of is crisis 3. It was great to look at, but not much fun to play.
@MalakTawus You have a point. Better graphics and better engines and everything does not mean that developers are less capable of doing good games.
What I think people mean when the say: "graphic is not important, what's important is the game itself", is that at this point practically every game looks pretty good, if not great. Therefore, developers should worry more about other matters such as gameplay, innovation, etc etc. At least that what I think.
The way I see it, the only big company that's been doing that is Nintendo. The WiiU is, as far as my understanding goes, the less powerful system compared to PS4 and Xbox720 in terms of graphics and specs. But is the only one that's innovating gameplay wise
@blackothh Because they never live long enough to learn.
@Durijat No it's wasting money get the GTX 780 ti it's more powerful less pay.
This is only video picture - you're hardware are not making anything - and won't be able to calculate such many polygons and so many textures (hello expensive Flash-drives-you wil needed them here, not old-fashioned and slow spin-drives).
Considering the possibilities of computer industry by making the normal hardware which is not working like home-heater and not require the enormous electric power - and i mean the notebooks (this is the normal computer which we must use only) it takes more than 6 years for industry to make the decent graphics chips for playing the old computer game from 2003 - i mean of course - the Fallout 3 - in time when it was revealed i don't have the normal PC to play it. So the possibility to play this old game normally on normal thin notebook was revealed only in 2009.
So game with UE4 takes 10 years to lift the hardware in user hands for the enough level, but at the same time - all that mass of graphics calculations are useless - just to pleasure your eyes and to move in that virtual world, i think the idea of On-live service here - just to receive the video by internet from the game is much better than processing all this at home hardware.
tru dat... go get one or two...
@DaSlyOne Potential always exsists, technology is advancing every year. What made you every think otherwise lol?
@elessarGObonzo No ! BIO WARE wants to make mass effect4 by Frostbite Not Unreal !
@nanorazor Its running on a single 680 http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-680-powers-nextgeneration-unreal-engine-4-infiltrator-demo/
@ekisom if its a proper tech demo, im assuming the engine is running it all in real time. Not just a cgi film.
@innocent69 But there will also be Kojima, Naughty Dog, Cage, D-Souls, Bethesda and the like bringing out ever more fantastic games. So pretty excited
@pezzott1 That is the best idea !
fuck YEAH !!!
I think you really have to have kept up with 3D/CG/CAD tech to really appreciate anything in this video.
@feathers632 @Hungryarmadillo Pretty must spot on feather. This video was freakin' amazing. They show' cased so much hard work. Really is some next level, beautiful stuff. Hungry thinks it was a trailer and not a engine video I guess.
@guahiatt It's XBox One Not 720.
@fontendet I cant say i understand everything you said, but you dont understand what a tech demo is. this was run in real time on PC using 1 680 card. It would be very similar to downloading 3Dmark and running that on ur computer. The goal is to show off how efficiently the engine can make use of available processing power.
@dom28 @DaSlyOne But still sad that the technology advancement has not found a way to get rid of the lowlife cheaters.
@gellis08 @ekisom Sir you are correct.
