Are all Gaming Laptops HDD spaces the same? Cos my current HDD is really pissing me off with the sluggishness, like i've checked on Task Manager my CPU/GPU/RAM Ussage is alway good, but good lord, even loading Google maxes out my HDD and slows my laptop down, Games are taking forever to load, and Age of Empires DE likes to freeze and crash due to APP not responding just when i load into a match.

Really need a new Cheap HDD that's better than my current one Which is this one

I was able to get the Death Stranding Limited Edition one. Had to drive like 25 miles to get it because my local gamestop had one but it was on hold for like another week >_>

Digital Foundry did a video saying the Red Dead 2 Bundle has one of the newer versions of the Pro with some internal changes for making it produce less sound.

Should i get that bundle? or is there another newer one?

@04dcarraher

So basically, i got denied the card, But my current card has a limit increase probably up to 2500$ on the 9th of October and i'm still in Dire need of a laptop, Would the one you showed off still be good? Still aiming for 1200-1500$ budget wise.

Well, the laptop your eying, is worse off than what you have now when it comes to hard drive and ram space..... If your wanting to stream 16gb and a 6 core 12 thread is a must. If your only doing best buy with their credit , you need to up your budget some.

Okay. Any suggestions on the website? I don't think i've ever countered issues regarding ram usage even just idling it's using 4.8gb out of my current 12gb.

Slightly still more expensive but i think the specs are better. Contains no CD drive but could i buy a exterior one? that connects via USB? Kinda worried about Space for installing on.

Short story is my current laptop going on four years is kinda beat, keyboard stopped working so i'm using this old one where the keys are worn out, the USBs dont work on one side the Disk drive stopped working, i've had to replace the HDD twice! it has a tendency to overheat and simply crash when playing games.. The Battery doesn't hold a charge anymore so it's forever at 1% life. And the hardware inside it is awfully crap to play anything new on it.

So.. Been thinking about getting a new gaming laptop, the caveat would be it needs to be from Best buy as i applied for a store credit card.

This is my current laptop. As you can see the specs not so good, though i've been told the specs are good it's the GPU that is struggling because my CPU usage when playing game is fairly low but GPU and Disk usage is always maxed

But anyhow... I'm looking for a new one, and for the most part it has to be bestbuy due to the store card.

The one i'm eying for price wise is this one

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-g531gt-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-512gb-solid-state-drive-black/6335589.p?skuId=6335589

ideally under 1000$ so 700-900$ price point would be. Doesn't have to be state of the art super computer, I'm not picky on screen size, worried 15.6 might be too small, but if it saves me some money i don't mind going down to that screensize if need be. Goals for a laptop would be

- Will allow me to stream on twitch and play.

- Doesn't need to be 4k, still happy with 1080p

- Can play the newer games that i can't run on my current hardware such as Warhammer II, Witcher 2 Vermintide 2 and anything newer too, there's a big backlog of pc games i want to play but can't due to hardware restrictions

- Gaming Laptop, not a desktop

- Somewhat of a investment (don't wanna have to upgrade again for a while)

Thankyou in advance and hopefully you can steer me in the right direction, i have bad judgment on PC hardware.

Hmmm, any decent ones on newegg then? Will it fit into my laptop? SSDs seem kinda pricey :/ my budget is around 60-85$ SSHD seem better tbh.

Would this be better than my current one?

My first HDD, that came with the compter a few years back died, so i got the same one again for a replacement. Thinking about getting a new one because the load times and boot times on this laptop are getting so bad. I don't have money to get myself a new laptop, so i'm trying to keep this one alive for as long as possible. But for future reference what would be a good one for my laptop? I have a 2014 Asus Republic of gamers laptop..
