The game is legendary. You cannot make a decision based on other opinions, you simply have to play it for yourself to decide. This isnt a game like Lair which is almost universally regarded as bad.

Because they are the ones paying for the employee to work there.

I live in Detroit, I have been turned down from afew jobs in the city because I'm white, I definalty would not of wanted the companies that wouldn't of hired me be forced to hire me even though I feel the color of my skin is irrelevent.

It doesn't matter if the employer is the one paying. That doesn't give them the right to discriminate based on irrelevant criteria. Employers are accountable to society. They are not the personal playthings of their owners. I can understand you not wanting to work at those places but if you were in the situation that a lot of people are in right now, you would do anything to make ends meet.

But, when they explained it they didn't bring anything up about me being white, they explained it to me that they were into the advancement of black people and would only hire black people. So even though it wasn't relevent to me it was relevent to them. See what I mean.

But its not relevant to your ability to perform the job. People can say that they have their own personal ideas of what is and is not relevant but the standard is a what a reasonable person would think and not hiring someone based on skin color is totally unreasonable.

Again, I'm not saying a company should use sexual orientation as criteria, but a company should be allowed to use sexual orientation as a criteria.

DaBrainz

Why should they be allowed to use anything they want if its irrelevant?

Why not, do you think I (6'3 205lb man) could get a job at Hooters? Like I said, use whatever criteria you want, if your criteria is stupid, I will chose not work for you.

DaBrainz

That's why 'sex' isn't in my list of non-relevant criteria. It IS relevant for some jobs. And saying that people can simply choose not to work somewhere that has hiring practices they don't agree with is naive. Now more than ever, people have to take whatever job they can possibly find. There are always more people looking for jobs than there are jobs. Skin color? Sexual orientation?

A company should use whatever criteria they want to hire somebody. But would you want to work for a company that hires people based on credit history? I would rather work at a company were I know my coworkers are the most qualified for the job at hand.

DaBrainz

So skin color, eye color, sexual orientation, etc? They should be able to use whatever criteria can be shown to be relevant to the job they are hiring for. Credit rating is relevant for people who will be put in positions of financial responsibility. Some things are never relevant.
