Hell no to more options in a Souls game! The whole point of the series is not to be another cinematic crappy AC game that plays it self with zero mental challenge from the player. I hate playing games on hard difficulty but I have loved the Souls games since I got into them because of the lack of compromise. The whole point is for me to adapt and return gaming to it's older roots. Having options is not the point with these games, your options are your equipment and level.

As for more sales, that's BS. The reason these games areattractive is because they offer something unique. The regular game tard is unlikely to buy it anyways and they would lose their core fanbase like me. About the same thing that happened between Crysis > Crysis 2, Dragon Age > Dragon Age 2 etc.

As long as it doesn't crash to desktop and keeps a steadier FPS I'm happy. I don't understand why people are expecting this game to look pretty on PC when it looked shoddy on consoles. This is a game you buy because it has the best gameplay this gen for christ sake and now it's on awesome PC with extra content.

Rocker6

Expecting a properly customizable resolution,a thing present in EVERY modern PC game is in no way expecting a game to look pretty...

Whining about lack of HD texture packs and DX11 features would be expecting the game to look pretty.

People signed for a port and got one. From Software is an awesome company that was honest about what they were going to give us. I don't understand the complaints, I respect that it's not good enough for you and can vote with your money by not buying this port. I'm buying day one as long as there are no buggy crashes to desktop and extrem framerate dips because that's where my standard is when it comes to pc games. On the other hand if these problems are present I'll vote with my money and not buy the game. Instead of b****ing about it on the internet when clearly I have no plans of playing the game. Durr.

Amazing news and day one purchase! I don't care that much that it's GFWL since I never had a problem and it will be nice to get some Xbox achivements anyways. Praise the sun!

Oh, I'm glad to hear that the Viking Warrior King of Sweden likes the Souls games. Don't listen to these Uncharted-playing haters and be proud that you like a true Viking challange.

I love the Souls games and the next game I hear to be challanging that I'm going to get is Catherine. Whichever game you get I hope to catch some videos on your channel since I'm a subscriber?

2010

Mafia 2 - It looked so promising but felt so Meh.

Mass Effect 2 - Loved the first but this just felt like a mediocre TPS. None of the charm from the first.

Bioshock 2 - Another sequel that lost all charm from the first game.

Splinter Cell: Conviction - I quit after a few hours, just terrible gameplay.

Alan Wake - Why couldn't they just go full PC?

2011

Crysis 2 - Watered down game with zero identity, compared to the first which was one of the best FPS games ever.

Dragon Age 2 - Even with low expectations the dissapointment was huge.

Killzone 3 - Killzone 2 was amazing and felt unique but this just felt like a CoD wannabe in space.

Skyrim - I really wanted to love it but it just won't hook me. The freedom feels like smokes & mirrors.

Batman: Arkham City - Another sequel that just didn't add up. More of everything and zero charm from the first.

Meh, as a huge fan of Baldur's Gate I couldn't care less because lets face it; Dragon Age engine is dated and looks like crap since they abandoned PC as lead platform years ago. Plus just upping up the resolution makes both Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 look great, if not greater than most games today and also adding to the old games an already great modding community with quests, NPC interactions and so on makes this pretty irrelevant to me as a fan.

Demon's Souls is my favorite game this gen and I love it, but I'm losing alot of my hype because Sony Studio Japan no longer seems involved. I think those guys are a large part on why Demon's Souls turned out as good as it did. I'm still very excited about it but more worried than I was when I first heard about it.

Lacks a bit of polish but I hope that will be fixed by the time of release. The original Deus Ex is among my favorite games of all time and I love how it has the original vibe but still manages to be completely different. I like change and I am happy that they seem to be striving to streamline it and make it cool today as the original was cool ten years ago.

Looks as charming as the first, I have high hopes for this since I love playing LBP with my friends.
