Can't remember as far back as 2010 but Dark Souls was my 2011 biggest disappointment. I absolutely loved Demons Souls and was SO hyped for Dark Souls but the game was just TOO hard. Like, not even cool... not even cool guys...

Really? I found Demon's Souls to be harder.
2010
Sid Meier's Civilization 5 (Before I would literally buy a game if it had the Firaxis logo. Not so much now. This game made me the bitter and pessimistic person I am today)
2011
Mount&Blade: With Fire and Sword (Warband was my favorite game 2010, this one was less than mediocre)
Edit: And looking at what has been announced for the XCom: Ufo defense. It looks like Firaxis is set to disappoint yet again. So the biggest disappointment so far in 2012 has been XCom related news, except for the announcement.

 I've generally seen praise for it, and actually have been thinking about upgrading from IV over the past couple days, before starting back into some Civ fun. What about it did you hate?
L.A Noire- Good game, but struggle to play through.
Battlefield 3- Awful maps, and lots of bugs and glitches.
To be honest nothing I played those years has made me disapointed. The only thing I guess you can count is dead island and thats not cause the gameplay itself since i havent played it,but the fact the first trailer was a big freaking lie. I thought we were getting a serious zombie game and we didint get that.

The only good thing about Civ 5 over previous iterations is the combat and hexes. Everything else is dumbed down. And several of its features were terribly implemented.
The AI doesnt know how to play at all (on my first game I had 0 casualties on the king difficulty), and from what I hear, the AI just cheats on higher difficulties. The happiness is universal now and only encourages you to spam towns, and health is removed. The diplomacy is completely broken and so is the multiplayer.

2010: Er....um....this is a toughy, actually. Um....I, er...uh....nothing? :?
Yeah....probably nothing....:P
2011: Brink.
In the stale genre of FPSes I would have loved for some kind of exciting spice to be added to the whole genre and bring it back to life. Showcasing that CoD may be king but it can be dethroned and HARD. This game....didn't do it for me. Black Ops is a way better game than this game and I don't even LIKE Blops.
If CoD is the king of FPS, Brink is the toilet paper the king wipes its $#!+ on.
2011: inFAMOUS Festival of Blood. I think that the inFAMOUS series is by far sony's best franchise this gen, but this Download game was just crap through and through. How it got those reviews I'll never figure out. I'd give inFAMOUS 1 and 2 around the 8.5-9.0/10 mark, but Festival of blood gets no more than a 3.0/10 from me.
2010: I suppose it would be Monster Hunter Tri. I still consider it a great game, but I just can't get into it so I found it dissapointing in that way. It just feels overly drawn out and tedious to me.
