If rich people have more money to use to hire people or make new and innovative products, how does that not make jobs? as new products and new stores that they own would lure more people to the stores creating more jobs? This guy dosn't know squat on this subject.fnevaeva

The guy you're referring to is a billionaire industrialist.

The idea isn't that rich people don't create jobs, it's that they aren't the main engine of job creation. A rich person obtaining more money is far less likely to spend once their needs are met.

On the other hand, someone who goes from having a $20k income to a $50k income is extremely likely to spend that extra money and contribute to economic growth and thus job creation.

Environmental destruction and increasing consumption leading to increasing resource competition, and ultimately leading to nuclear weapons use.

My IRA is invested entirely in index funds with a mix of stocks and bonds. That said, I see buying individual stocks without any broader strategy as basically akin to gambling.

Street Fighter 2FastEddie2121

Haven't seen anything else that compares to this.

The original Street Fighter was basically an average arcade game with a few new ideas that didn't get much attention. Street Fighter II was incredibly popular, gave birth to an entire new category of games and is widely considered the greatest fighting game ever made to this day.

There's no way any significant change will actually happen, this is propaganda. The regime maintains such an incredibly high degree of isolation because it can't survive without it. The moment average North Koreans collectively discover what a disgrace their country is, the Kim family's power structure would collapse. Even if Kim somehow went nuts and tried to push real changes, the elites that rely on the current system wouldn't allow it.

For the longest time it would have been China but I finally went there this year. The next place I want to see is Ireland.

I don't think this will succeed, because Al Jazeera doesn't do the comically shallow type of coverage that I see on CNN, Fox and MSNBC. How many Americans will want to watch an in-depth story about things like poverty or corruption in another country? I don't see it happening.

If you like IPAs, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is a good seasonal beer.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP is forced to change its ideology by the time the midterm elections come around.

It seems like now is the perfect time for Obama to get extremely aggressive with congressional Republicans, since they will have many seats contested in 2014 whereas Obama doesn't need to campaign again for the rest of his life. If he can expose their obstructionism clearly between now and then, I think we could see them seriously back down from their ideological purity.
