Now that I think about this statement, MS could essentially make it as true as they want to. Sony has said they're reaching for a 10 year life cycle, so if they don't live up to that, they will be considered failing on their promise to consumers. I'm highly skeptical of the 10 year plan as well, even as a fan of some of the things PS3 does.

MS on the other hand has made no promises to consumers, and can define this current console gen as they see fit. For example, if PS3 were to ever pass 360, MS could just release a new console, which would essentially make whatever they say true.

It bugs me that MS says they don't care about console lifecycle, since the first one was a whopping barely 4 years. Whereas the contrast to this is that my niece and nephew's PS2 I bought for them when they were 5 and 7, is now still keeping them entertained at 13 and 15. It's nice to know something you buy might last longer than 2 presidential terms.

Because there's no punishment in the industry for being a D-bag...I like 360 for the most part, but that guy annoyed me because I could just tell they picked him to talk because they think he'd appeal to gamers as a clueless looking exec.

I'd take Peter Moore over him anyday, at least Moore has a sense of humor.

The appeal I see in it the limited possibilities.

One of my favorite parts is where you can simultaneously design things in the same stage with your friends, instead of level creation being a painful sit and watch someone else play with it thing.

The multiplayer is also what I think shines, while it's a completely different game, I could see it rivaling Smash Bros. in terms of just creating pure fun that many people in the room can enjoy.

And yeah, the human potential for creativity in this game is endless...look at Line Rider on Youtube, what people make out of a line and a falling guy. LBP's potential is near endless.

I could list the many new games they showed, but a completely new one of them is MAG, whose concept looks awesome. I'm tired of the Wii's new Wii Sports and Wii music whose novelty will wear off in a week just like every other Wii game I own, which only a few besides the Nintendo made ones have been able to stand on their own as good games.

[QUOTE="igotdez"]will ffXIII be more better on the ps3 or 360?odin2019

Definitely 360. I guess MS forgot to add that there will be exclusive downloadable content for the game as well only to xbox360 owners cause you know sony aint gonna get off their lazy ***** and make that happen.

Well...

1. LINK...like it even needed to be said.

2. If there's exclusive content for 360, then MS would probably have to foot the bill since SE would see 0 homeland revenue from it. Not saying that won't happen though since MS has their unlimited money code on at all times.

FYI FFXIII's Japanese version is only on PS3, which is how SE got past the legality of all the exclusivity talk before hand. That said, that means that there's obviously an american PS3 version, which was pretty much a no brainer anyway. My guess is that the total lack of all things SE means that they were payed for their time by the competition.

I just laugh at you guys. You buy one console, than you see other is winning than buy that one too

So you spend incredible amount of money on something that have only few EXCLUSIVE games

In meantime, you could buy UBER GAMEING PC that could play most of those games well to each his own

So dont tell me i can play games like "gears of war (pc have it) assassins creed (check) devil may cry (check) grid (check) Unreal Tournament 3 (check) mass effect (check) bioshock (check) rainbow six vegas (check) oblivion (check) gta 4 (coming soon ) + maaany more games that you can play ONLY on PC like World of Warcraft,Spore,GTR2,Guild Wars,Sins of a Solar Empire,Starcraft 2,Diablo 3, Neverwinter Nights 2, Total War,Supreme Comander,Company of Heroes,

+ EMULATOR for dos games,Nintendo Entertainment System,Super Nintendo,Nintendo 64,Play Station,Play Station 2,Xbox,PSP,DS, Gameboy,Gameboy Advance, Sega,Gamecube .... just to mention few

+ Surf internet, watch movies, download games, FREE FLASH and INDIE games (you cant count them there are so many)

You dont want keyboard + mouse?? buy gamepad for like 10$ lol? You can hook up your PC to big screen ANYTIME and play games from comfort of your sofa

+ you can make your own games, excelent MOD comunity etc

YOU CAN GET ALL THIS FOR LIKE 1000 $ UBER configuration that will last for like 3 years

+ every old classic from before including Starcraft,Planescape torment, warcraft, diablo, half life,MULTIPLAT GAMES etc

So you want me to buy PS3 / X360 because 5 EXCLUSIVE GAMES? lol no thanks

For that money i can buy something nice or upgrade my allready nice rig

Lidve

Here's a better idea, get an education, or apply yourself whole-heartedly to something, and get yourself into a career you love and you can afford to do anything you want.

I own each system and have a PC which runs Gears very well, but is short of fulling enjoying Crysis (oh well)...that said, that PC can't play Uncharted, DOA4, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden II, Metroid Prime 3, Ridge Racer 6/7, Super Mario Galaxy, Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo3, Eternal Sonata, Lost Oddessey, Zelda TP, SSBB, Hot Shots Golf 5, Warhawk, and I'm not even home right now so I can't remember half the other games I own. Not to mention certain experiences like Rock Band, which would be ridiculous fitting people in my office to play instead of my living room. I could go on and on, especially how PC had near to nothing of the greatness that happened on the PS2 last gen.

I can also make a long list of games I own on PC that you can't buy on a console.

All that said, I'm sick of the PC fanboys who claim they are the "true" hardcore gamers, because when it comes down to it, each experience has its shortcomings. Also, I just like playing games on a 60" TV, and I know I can hook my PC to that, but honestly I keep my office and living room separate. Being PC exclusive is just another way to be close minded about gaming. For example, while Crysis holds the graphics trophy right now, how many people can honestly say they play it in full splendor? Well MGS4 is probably just a step down, but the game looks flat out amazing, and how many people can enjoy the full MGS4 experience? Oh yeah, ANYONE who owns the system it comes on.

Bottom line, if you sincerely love the things you love, then why do you need to argue with people to "prove" that they're better? I made this topic in the interest of getting people to sincerely ask themselves whether or not they liked what they saw from FFXIII, instead of turing the game into instant fanboy warring. It's interesting that you brought your whole PC argument in here because it's that same exact ignorance that this topic was going against. Do your own thing, don't tell others what their thing needs to be, and encourage them to not let the corporate suits decide what they like for them.

Hey guys, I am a multi console gamer, so it's always bugged me when people hate a certain franchise simply because of what console it's on. Perfect example is the PS3 lovers hated Gears even thought they a. never played it, and b. it was pretty awesome...that said I heard nothing but MGS hate from 360 owners because it is exclusive and they always came up with bogus nitpicky reasons why it sucked.

All that said, I hope people can finally like or dislike the idea of a new Final Fantasy now that's its no longer an object of system war arguments. If you hate JRPGs, or you are a racist who thinks all japanese inspired character are inherently homosexual, which is deeply shunned in American culture, then go ahead and hate it. But for the rest of you, I'm glad the veil of fanboyism is lifted and we can all enjoy it together.

That said, unless exclusive content shows up, I'm getting it for PS3, since its development was seemingly started on it, and could possibly be less buggy. Who knows though, between now and then my mind can change.

Nothing will stop me from getting this game, even if I'm a hobo on the streets and have to wheel around a PS3 or 360 in a shopping cart with a tv and steal people's electricity.
