Hello people:

I've not played all of the boxing games ever released, but I've played enough of them to know roughly what makes for a good one. I'd like to know what boxing titles you have played which you'd nominate as being the best of the best. My short list of the best boxing games I've played is as follows:

*Mike Tyson's Super Punch Out! (NES)

*Champions Forever (TGFX-16)

*Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (DC)

*Knockout Kings 2000 (PSX)

*Boxing Legends of the Ring (SNES)

*Evander Holyfied's 'Real Deal' Boxing (Gen)

Random BSoDs usually indicate flaky RAM. BSoDs are the result of general protection faults, which are in turn caused by programs not being properly registered in the RAM allocation units. The experts recommend using quality, brand name modules while avoiding generic non-label RAM. Also, check which type of RAM your mainboard/system maker recommends. If you go with the recommended stuff, you will have peace of mind, anyway.

EA's NHL games always seemed to play better on the Genesis. Apparently, the Genesis had better CPU for sports titles compared to the SNES. NHL '94 was one of the all-time great sports titles for EA, and each version before this was very good. Personally, I started to dislike the series once NHL '96 came around. Eventually, I switched to PCs and haven't looked back to consoles unless the games were exceptional.

Alright, so here's what I recommend to remove those pesky stickers: Firstly, *don't* use any solvents such as rubbing alcohol or anything with a petroleum base, as it can damage the boxes. Also, *don't* use anything that's abrasive, as you will only find that the box surface will be scratched.

You would be surprised, however, with just how effective a good ol' plastic eraser is with removing sticker adhesive. Remove what you can gently with your fingernails, then rub the adhesive goo off with the eraser. Take your time and you should be quite satisfied with the results. I've used this method on various surfaces and have never been disappointed.

Well, they haven't put ol' Mario and his pals to pasture yet (and most of them are a *lot* older than Sonic), so why retire StHH? There were some crappy Mario games released, too. And imo, Sonic is more innovative than Mario.

Now I dont mean to, or want for this to turn into a systems war thread, but me and a mate were discussing whether the PC or the PS3 had more power. By this I mean in terms of generating the greatest amount of processing power, highest quality graphics, all that jazz. Now I have always believed that the PC has, and has always had, much more power than any console in its generation. But then my mate showed me this article: http://www.smh.com.au/news/articles/the-future-of-gaming/2008/05/16/1210765152982.html , and it has me doubting. It doesnt really bother me that much, consoles have never really interested me, but Im just wondering what the fact is, just for the sake of it.

So, what platform has the greatest power PC or PS3?

Thanks

Since I first began learning about PC hardware I came to the conclusion that PCs have a lot more to offer with regards to gaming compared to consoles. The main reason is that virtually any PC component, by design, is meant to be upgraded, with the thinking that the user can choose what components they want to upgrade versus their needs/budget. The same can't be said of consoles because, by design, they aren't modular.

As for the processing power thing: Keep in mind that for every next-gen console that's released, PC hardware developers are reasearching the next greatest thing to overcome the newest technological bottleneck. This will contine ad infinitum. It's really due to the PC's industry standard design which allows it to always remain at the PC gaming hardware forefront. Consoles can't do this in the same way. It could be said that consoles have designed obselecence built in. I am, however impressed with the sheer processing power of today's consoles. Comparing consoles and PCs is more like comparing apples and oranges.

NHL 96 also sucked balls compared to the glory of NHL 95 and 94.

For me, 'Monster Truck Madness 2' was a real letdown. By the previews I had of the game, I thought to myself, "It's MTM, but with way better graphics, sound, and maybe even *better* gameplay." Well, the reality was certainly different after I spent all but half an hour playing the game. The eye candy and sound were there, but the developer, Terminal Velocity, munged the racing physics to hell and back. I couldn't even get the racecam configured in a way which allowed me to properly see the track in front of the truck without changing to first-person view. Ah, the letdown....

Since it's release, I've not heard great praise for Vista. Rather, I've come across numerous articles and comments online regarding Vista's superfluous features compared to the proven usability of XP, notably with SP2 & SP3. And I read somewhere that the Vista OS represents the first Windows OS that has no real innovative features compared to the competitiion, i.e., Linux. I'm running XP pro with SP2 currently (with an eye to download SP3 in the near future), and I feel no urgency to bother going through the hassle of 'upgrading' to Vista.

Between Niko Bellic, Tommy Vercettii, "CJ" Carl Johnson, and the quiet GTA 3 guy (Sid Vicent) who is the most ruthless or fan favorite out of all of them?

For me its GTA 3 guy because he was quiet and willing to do what ever it took to get the job, much like 47 from the hitman he didn't care whoever gets in his way to get his mission accomplished. N he manage to take on the Mafias in the city and somehow win, if thats not balls for a quiet guy i don't know what is?

BaronVonSlayer

T.V. all the way. He was the strong, silent type of guy who got the job done.
