I nominate Romero's infamous 'Daikatana' along with his marketing dept's goofy magazine ads: 'John Romero is about to make you his **** HA. He became his own **** imho.

I'm pretty sure that you can switch between NTSC and PAL formats, even on the legendary ( :P ) R300 based cards.

Better ask that question to ATI/AMD.

I'll look into further. Thanks for posting, Wesker.

Hey guys:

Right now I'm living in China and I often hunt around the e-markets over here for discounted hardware. I've spotted an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 256 Pro, which were the last great combo AGP video cards released by ATI before going PCIx. However, I'm doubtful that I can use the TV tuner feature back home in Canada, which uses the NTSC standard rather than PAL. Is there any kind of workaround that would allow me to use the TV tuner with NTSC signals in North America?

I've always liked many of the cases Antec has put out. But when I was shopping around the e-markets in Bangkok, I spotted a kick-ass case by CoolerMaster called the CM Nvidia Edition Stacker 830. You can check it out here:

Metacritic is great and all, but anything before the PS1/N64 doesn't have review scores. So I pretty much have to go by word of mouth when it comes to picking up oldschool games. Does anybody know some good sites that cater to oldschool tastes? Knievs_101

I recommend that you query 'abandonware' and similar terms on the big search engines. There are actually quite a few old-school game sites around. If you tastes are mostly console games, I recall the 'Video Game Critic' site to be among the best around for older console game reviews.

Are there any decent arcade games reviews sites out there? I want to find reviews for essentially all the stuff put out between the early '80s to present.

My all-time favorite game of that era would have to be 'Super Monaco GP' for the Genesis. The thrills I got from that game were something else. I also got my kicks playing Gran Turismo for the PSX along with Resident Evil 2 & 3.

As for the No Mercy vs. Revenge debate, I'll side with the Revenge camp as that game had a better overall visual effect and atmosphere, imo. You can check out the Wiki article about the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCW/nWo_Revenge

I have a shortlist of other wraslin' games that you may like, since you're into the older stuff like. However, these games are *not* necessarily available on the N64, but represent some of the best games for their time. In no particular order, I give thee my picks for old-school wraslin' goodness :

*WWF Royal Rumble (SNES)

*WWF Raw (SNES)

*WWF Rage in the Cage (SCD)

*WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game (SS)

*Power Move Pro Wrestling (PSX)

I would agree that No Mercy is the best wrestling game, but I loved WCW/nWo Revenge and wished I still had an N64 to play those again.Senor_T_Dub

You can. In one word: emulator
