But they don't pay me to make these decisions anyway.
That's all I was thinking. You have an opportunity to launch with your flagship title and now that isn't going to happen? Seems like a missed opportunity if you're Microsoft to get a jump on Sony.
I deleted my original comment because I read about it online. Get it together, Gamespot, this article is poorly written. For everyone curious who has never played the game:
1. The logos are generic.
2. Sega has never had licenses because the teams, logos, etc. are generic.
3. The game automatically allocates logos, etc. when the game starts.
4. The current generic logo is next to the name "Manchester United" and as such, the official Man U claim that the implication to the user is that it's officially them - even though there are plenty of notifications, terms, etc. in the game that specifically state otherwise.
I think a sequel could work with or without Batman. The WITH Batman is clear. I think the WITHOUT Batman situation would be where Joker goes from gaining the notoriety at the end of the movie to becoming this criminal mastermind. What drives him into crime? How does he create his gang? So many building block questions that could be answered throughout the course of the movie.
With household internet caps, latency issues, inconsistent framerates... this thing never stood a chance. I think the idea, in theory is not bad. It's the Netflix model of video games. Unfortunately, the internet speeds are just not reliable enough for streaming the entirety of any particular game.
