@boom4real: I never understood the high praise for the PS1. The N64 in my view was the superior console. The PS1 definitely had more games. I'm always curious as to why?

There's an 85 game Sega Genesis "Flashback" Console... see Walmart. It's made by AT Games, and has an original cartridge slot. I remember the reviews not being amazing but not bad (not Playstation mini bad). I wonder if this will be any better? The actual Genesis games lineup on this AT Games flashback model is actually pretty damn good (though sorely missing Sonic 3&K). It also has Game Gear and Master System games.

Hugely disappointing. Maybe I'm the idiot for thinking we would get a true "next gen" experience now that Pokemon is finally on an HD console. I honestly hoped we would get character designs similar to, and I'm serious, the Detective Pikachu movie. This looks like a high res 3DS game. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I was expecting so much more.

The handheld mode complaint is nonsense. How did you want Nintendo to deal with it? It's a console game first and foremost.
