But Amazon wish lists?! That seems comical.

As I was reading through the news this morning when I realized I wasn't going to be able to sleep anymore, I came across an article about how one can link their Amazon wish lists to Facebook. I have to laugh because I just don't think the powers that be at Facebook get it...that the more they link things to Facebook, the more they are destroying it.

Here are what I think are making Facebook almost too nauseating to even visit any longer...

1. The ridiculous linking. Case in point. I download a cycling app because I'm big into long-distance mountain biking. I get it all set up on my bike...very cool app. It's a GPS, tracks my mileage, speed, distance, etc. I head out. A couple hours later I get home. I eventually end up at my computer to talk to my friend on facebook and I notice that the app has posted for me on Facebook. The ride I had just been on, was all right there...all the stats, how far I went, my speed, everything. It asked my friends to cheer me on and it apparently was broadcasting updates about my ride and yes, my friends were cheering me on without my knowledge. All I could do was sit there with my mouth open. I wasn't MAD, but slightly aggravated because it unwittingly turned me into an attention whore, which I'm definitely not. And it felt a little invasive to have all my stats and even some personal information about myself from the profile I set up was right there for everyone to see.

2. Do we really want to know what is on people's Amazon wish list? That's just awkward. If you want something, save up the money and get it. Making mention of it, almost comes across as "hey everyone, I want this book really bad...will someone buy it for me!?" ughh :/

3. Attention whoring - Why are there half-dressed people in profile pictures? That's just...what's the word for it....herpyish because creepy isn't strong enough. It's usually a female and big surprise, they have hundreds of drooling male followers that eagerly await updated pictures to satisfy their burning hunger for some girl they don't know. And the girl is getting what she needs which is adoration that she has obviously been deprived up and had FINALLY found a way to satisfy this need.

4. People (including someone in my family) that only post when something great happens to them...they got a new tv, new car, went on vacation, got a great tax refund check. Otherwise they are quiet and don't contribute.

5. Personal conversations out in the open that really should be in a private chat. Example "I love you!!!" "I love you too! You're the best boyfriend ever!" "And you're the best girlfriend ever!" "Omg, call me!" Someone from my family does this and I just had to hide the updates because it was just too much.

6. Parents and aunts/uncles getting all involved in teen drama. (My sister, getting involved in my niece's life) My sister made herself look like a freaking moron by jumping into kid-drama and acting like a Facebook hall monitor. I almost wanted to delete everyone that day.

7. People posting 100 funny internet pics per day. It's their personal quota!

8. And those that Facebook as a means of creating political debates, constantly. (my ex)

9. Oh....and when someone takes a picture of you at a party or somewhere else, doesn't ask you, but decides to put it on Facebook! It's happened to me 3-4 times in the last couple months. One was rather embarrassing. I was at a baseball game and the picture was shot when I was yelling something out, so my mouth is wide open. Asshole!

So where is Facebook heading? Will it be around in 5 years? 10? I think it's actually a great way to connect families and if people could stop being annoying, it could even be great.

As humans, we want to believe in Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, unicorns, mermaids and other stuff of folklore. That's fine with me. It makes some people happy...great. I really hate fake stuff though. It annoys me. Yeah okay good one...someone created a mermaid and fooled a few people. To try so hard and then put a nice clean wig on it. Good job. It would be long, ratty, scraggly, tangled and caked with mud. Better luck fooling us next time.

Wow...public places are disgusting. People, their germs and their std's need to stay away from me.

I only game once a week now. I'm glad I started getting into real life activities like biking and kickboxing. No, my reflexes weren't helped at all. I was horrible at kickboxing at first.

I like a few of his songs a lot. He's extremely talented.

Here's his biography. It's an interesting story.

I'd have to agree with Bioshock Infinite. It was beautifully created and I enjoyed it enough to play through it twice which is EXTREMELY rare for me.

@cain006:

He said he got scammed somehow. He didn't get a traditional student loan - that I know. He went through some other company. His payments are over $1000 a month now.

More will sign up as time goes on. The web site issues stopped a lot of people in their tracks and because the problems persist, I think people will just wait until everything is just running smoothly. I just go to the veterans hospital if I need to but I'd like to have regular insurance because every time I go to the VA hosp, its 3 hours out of my day, even if it's for something simple.
