I havent played many PS3 games, but MGS4 is by far the best gaming experience for me on the system. period.

Should i get Valkyria Chronicles or FF13? please help..

They really need to work on an epic story this time around. KZ2 story was pretty forgettable. Also, i would love to see action taking place on different locales (especially colourful levels if it will complement the game).

You speak the truth. MGS4 it is.

If only they could create another game that is emotional as Silent Hill 2. I will be definitely sold. However, with akira yamaoka gone, the music and sounds will not do justice to the franchise imho.

Mine has to be Haze. Not a really big deal since i got it free from the store i bought my ps3. still i slightly regret not picking up the other free game they offered.

I am writing this right after completing MGS4. I have not played mgs2/3 so i'll stick to talking only about MGS4.

MGS4 is not a perfect game imo. Yet, after completing it i now understand why it got 10/10 and why it deserves it. its not because its perfect. Its because its on an entirely epic league compared to other games. Its definitely the most polished game to date, period. The sounds were unbelivabley detailed and realistic. the vibration on your controller for every subtle movements of snake shows how much effort the developers put into making this a masterpiece.

I loved the game and almost every aspect of it (except for a few issues) and the ending almost brought tears to my eyes.

From my point of view here are some events of the game could have improved the total experience even more. Spoilers ahead.

1. The lame proposing scene with meriyl and akiba. wtf? (akiba single handedly ruined the more serious tone of the game with his clumsiness and farts)
2. Some boss battles were pretty low imo. (crying wolf and screaming mantis)
3. Drebin calling you after defeating to each B&B bosses. very boring. didnt want to skip any to avoid ruining the story.
4. Too many ass focusing moments. and not to mention naomi's upskirt with snake. felt out of place.
5. Gameplay took a back seat. could have used action/sneaking moments.

Even with these problems MGS4 is definitely one of the best game ive ever played. The total experience of this game is out of this world which makes it almost a near perfect game. thats the best any game could achieve.

Monkey Island for me. so many LOL moments in that game :D

I think its your SDTV that let you down. I know this because i used a SDTV myself. The graphics are really not that great for SDTV because i am 100% certain MGS4 looks way better than Gow3 demo on my 21" SDTV.

As for the gameplay mechanics i dont think there is anything to complain about. There are some really cool new moves that im dying to try out.

Hope they have already optimized the graphics a tad bit for SDTV on the final version.
