I have to agree with OP that this game is in fact art. From the gorgeos graphics that makes you stop moving and ogle the environment and characters around you to one of the best written stories in recent memory, this is indeed a true work of art. I loved the music with its lonely tone that makes you immerse youself more.

The game shows how much love and effort the developers has poured into this masterpiece.

TLOU is one of the very few games once it ends that gives you an 'empty' feeling. not because its bad in anyway, its just that you miss the game, the characters and the world in general for the time you spent with it. It will take several days to get back to normal now :D

Btw OP has a great dad that sits through and watches you play games.

Your room temp is 30c? That's very high imo and i think you should lower it to at least 25, my room is 20-22c.Guovssohas
How can you live with 30 degrees innertemp? :P I have around 18 degrees. Though I guess you live somewhere much warmer.spittis
Yes, its warmer down here. The humidity is the worst though :P i live in south asia so the tempreature is around 26-30 throughout the year.

I'm thinking of removing the heatsink to make sure thermal paste is applied correctly by the factory. is it a good idea?

You could download & install MSI Afterburner, which would allow you to set your own profile for GPU fan speeds. How does it look inside your case? Are the case fans dusty?topsemag55

I got the readings from afterburner. the case fans aren't dusty. i've cleaned them recently.

Your fans are spinning the right way, yes?

Hey there,

I got this card recently and its been great... except for some heat issues.

Gigabyte GTX 560

At idle it stays in the lower 40C. However, on load it has gone upto 89C. I think this is a bit too high for a card that has a custom cooler.

My room temp is about 30c.

Any advise on what i should do? i have added some extra fans but failed to lower the temps.

my only gripe is the max temp. Even with the fan at 100% it fails to keep the card cooler at around 70-75C.

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there,

I've checked benchmarks and both these cards are very close in performance. I can get these for practically same price (the ATI costs about $10 more) so i need to decide which one to get.

I play at mostly on 1920 * 1080 resolution.

My CPU is a C2D with DDR2 ram. Planning on upgrading them maybe in a few months. But before that i need to get a VGA as i am currently using a low end one.

Any suggestions which card to choose?

Do yourself a favour and do some homework on the stories of the previous 3 MGS's. Trust me, just reading the story will be more than enough to LOVE MGS4. I know it worked for me.

If they've ditched the episodic format or not, i hope valve's next HL release starts off where EP2 stopped. God, it one of those few cliffhanging endings thats etched in my mind.
