I think people should actually read the article, EB Games pulled this price out of their arse so they could get the console into their database as quickly as possible. Heck EB Games for many years had Resident Evil Portable available for pre-order in their system and it was pure vapourware. It's greed on wheels and the Department of Fair Trading really needs to introduce laws that will stop this kind of thing. I mean as soon as GTA5 was announced every Australia retailer started to accept orders for a PC version that has yet to be confirmed by Rockstar themselves.

@debryson @THizzle7XU Halo 4 was made by 343, but it's still a Microsoft owned property. Game Freak makes Pokemon, does that make it a Game Freak IP? No, it's owned by Nintendo. Nintendo owns the Project Zero IP 100% now, Pandora's Tower was funded by Nintendo's dime and so was the European localisation for both of these games. Heck Rhythm Paradise was developed in-house at Nintendo. These games would not exist without Nintendo's dime and are excellent examples of Nintendo trying to produce games that's aren't Mario or Zelda.

@THizzle7XU @robertwarnes91 These are Nintendo games. Nintendo owns the Project Zero property 100%, Pandora's Tower was funded by Nintendo's dime and Rhythm Paradise was developed in-house at Nintendo. Halo 4 was developed by 343 games and not Microsoft Game Studios. But it's still a Microsoft Property. Pokemon is made by Game Freak, is Pokemon no longer a Nintendo property because of this? No. Pandora's Tower Project Zero 2 and Rhythm Paradise would not exist in the first place, if it wasn't for Nintendo's dime. They financed these projects.

I do think the article does bring up a good point about Nintendo relying to much on rehashing old franchises. But it's not really Nintendo's fault. Nintendo has tried many times to create new IPs, but the problem is nobody buys them. Look at Rhythm Paradise and Project Zero 2 on the Wii. Both games failed to chart within the UK's top 40 video game sales. Pandora's Tower debut at 37 in the UK and fell after a week. These games were all flops and it's probably why Nintendo of America has never been keen on bringing these new IPs over to the States. So I blame consumers and it's a similar problem wiht Microsoft. Look at their line-up for 2012, Forza Horizon, Fable Journey and Halo 4. Rehashing old ideas. But I don't blame Microsoft, I blame consumers for being scared of new things.

So when Pandora's Tower hits the USA in Spring, please buy it guys and tell Nintendo you want new IPs.

The whole R18+ rating excuse was just Telltale covering their butts. The TV show is rated MA15+ in Australia they didn't even try to do a New Zealand release and they've always had a R18+ rating. Obviously the huge fan demand has resulted in them to change their mind, but in the first place it wasn't a rating law issue. It was probably because the sales of past Telltale games in Oceania weren't great and instead of simply saying that. They blamed the classification office.
