Apple is making gross profits while accepting Chinese factory and mandated living conditions that would put historical slavery to shame.

I doubt EA needs suicide (prevention) nets around its building as does apple needs for its.

The point was the outcomes were essentially the same. The exponential effect of choices causes fundamental cost problems with game based on voice acting. The choice in these games were largely illusions.

As far as I have experienced, if you have a choice and it seams binary, it is almost always an artificial dichotomy. Laterial thinking can almost always bring about more and better choices.

The overall story is what made that game work. The episodic format was awful. It essentially was, "Here you get to make a choice, but it doesn't fucking matter because the story ends the same way". The game would have been even better if they had a static story and worked on making the game-play fun. Or I could see this work in a randomized text based RPG\simulations where content can be dynamically generated. But the exponential complexity of "choices" along with voice acting and scripted animation, rules out real choices in games. Thus making episodic content more like insult your intelligence content.

Riding on legacy. If it was sold by any other name, which canonically it should have, it would have failed horribly.

There is a reason the concept of women as hardened warriors causes a visceral negative reaction. The short of the matter of it is, these attitudes are ingrained into biology, due to the fact that one man can impregnate many women. Thus it is not something that will change for thousands of years, if ever. Thus it is not worth bitching about. To expound, consider the following thought experiment involving two warring tribes.

Tribe A sees no difference in combat ability for men and women, it sends half of its tribe, equal number of men and women. Tribe B are misogynistic they send all their men into battle and keep the women in the "kitchen". The tribes fight each other once a generation. Before their first battle both tribes have 1000 adult members. Each generation, women have four children surviving to adulthood. and all adults die off. Each battle, each combatant causes 0.5 casualties.

Generation 1: Tribe A and B have 500 men 500 women.

Battle 1: Tribe A sends 250 men and 250 women. Tribe B sends 500 men and zero women. Tribe A causes 250 casualties, tribe B causes 250 casualties. After the battle tribe A has 875 men, 875 women, tribe b has 1000 women 750 men.

Generation 2: Tribes children mature and the previous generation dies off. tribe A, now has 1,750 women, and 1,750 men. Tribe B now has 2000 women and 2000 men.

Battle 2: Tribe A sends 875 women and 875 men to battle. Tribe B sends 2000 men and 0 women. Tribe A causes 875 casualties, tribe B causes 1000 casualties. Tribe A 1250 Women and 1250 Men, tribe B now has 2000 women and 1125 Men.

Generation 3 Tribes children mature and the previous generation dies off.Tribe A now has 2500 men and 2500 women, Tribe B now has 4000 women and 4000 men.

Battle 3. Tribe A sends 625 Women and 625 women into battle, tribe B sends 4000 men and 0 women. Tribe A causes 625 casualties, tribe B causes 1250 (<2000) casualties, tribe A's army is thus overwhelmed and villagers are sentenced to extinction.

I can wait, Ive always wanted a Ferrari as well, but if someone hands me a steaming pile of shit, with a label Ferrari on it, I am not going to buy it.

This is analogous to the steaming pile of shit called Diablo 3. That I got suckered into.

So you work in a place, that hands out SSRI's that are advertised several times per hour on TV, that with mandated labels warning that they cause suicidal tendencies, and many studies are showing homicidal tendencies as well. And you make the connection to that environment with video games?
