I can't wait for the Feedbackuka episode.

Outside the online-only bit, I find most of the complaints about this game to be childish.  I personally find their changes, including the size constraints to be refreshing. Its more of a game than a garden growing statistic fest. If you are constrained on space you have to think more about how to maximize the use of your space, thats a puzzle element. The region gameplay is a natural expansion on simcity 4, and its more sensible for modern cities than the old archaic set up. There is no such thing as one all encompassing city. especially in the U.S. all metropolitan areas are split into small towns and cities. having one large city would be idiotic. Furthermore, you're not playing one city for days, you're trying to make a much larger region and multiple cities working together, the specialization adds way more depth that anything simcity franchise has been able to put out before.  Sure 90% of EA games are crap. This isn't one of them, it actually sounds well thought out on paper, The only complaints that are worth any mentioning are the online only requirements and the inevitable plethora of bugs on release. Anything else is people failing to use their imagination beyond the graphics they see on screenshots and videos. (also...why would you even try simcity societies, that game looked like crap from day one...)

The game is shit. Won't buy it, just like I didn't buy Cities XL or Socities.

A-Train is better than this, the one that came out in 1989.

EA is a crap company and we all know that. Only decent product associated with them is BF3.

I see the beta lasts 24 hours. I think I'll keep hold of my cash until there is a review. Without the ridiculous prices I would have paid already.

Hmm just checked and you can get into the beta by pre-ordering now.

What is very annoying is that you can order a "limited edition" for £44.99 or you can get the deluxe one for £64.99 with various other "sets" - which I presume are graphical variations on the city.

For £44.99 I expect to get the WHOLE game. It's a disgrace to charge £65 for the whole content.

They diablo 3'd it.....why make only small city's the whole point is making a huge city and they have taken that away.

This game is DOA. Cartoony, fewer features than SC4, look how small the cities are and the dreaded online only decision derided everywhere.

Dear creaters the SimCity! I want to say "Thank You!!" for your imagination and powerful dreaming. The SimCity is great job to public new generation and others SimCitys'. I couldn't believe my eyes extreme so cool it. This my comment. Thanks for reading it!!

I hope I am wrong, but unfortunate I think this game looks very close to Sim Society in its cartoonish way. Then, you add to it that you'll have to be only just to play it and I will run back to SimCity 4 or even the Cities XL.

My imagination can do a lot more than this limited pale imitation of its predecessors.  Tiny maps, fewer transportation options, less control over the landscape and regional transportation.  All wrapped up in a always-online DRM.  Stay away from this turkey.

I thought this was a really terrific video.  I really enjoyed watching it.  Anyway, this was my first look at the new SimCity, and I thought it all looked really impressive.  The sheer number of objects in motion at any given time seemed staggering to me.  I've honestly never played a game like this before, and while I can't say it's necissarily something I want to devote hours and hours on end to, I can definately see the appeal.  I have high hopes for this game.  I hope it turns out as well as my initial wide eyed impression suggests.

I like this, I might get it eventually, the price would be very high when it cames to the stores but after a while, it will be on my PC playing

After the debacle of SimCity Societies, and me quickly going back to SimCity 4 to keep my city building needs fed, i feel this game might reignite the spark that makes SimCity great, deep city management and strategic zoning of land between connected cities, is really looks promising. Just hope all those always online for play rumors are not real, i'm mostly interested in playing my own cities.

I will for sure be getting this. I remember playing all the different Sim games growing up, this will be a purchase based strictly on nostalgia.

soooo glad that i goy my GTX 670 4GB already .. i am sure it will utilize all of that 4GB in the graphics card.. although the 2GB version is cheaper by a lot.. this game will probably need more than 3 GB at the least.

And the best part is I GOT BETA INVITE! hahahahh sweet!

I'm not an civil engineer because I played SimCity classic when I was a kid xD

I only hope my PC would be powerful enough to run this game because it looks pretty hardware intensive.

Bought sim city 4 deluxe off steam about 4 months ago (was on offer so thought why not), I found it frustrating and difficult to do right, even tho it was really appealing, I did want to create a great city after seeing some on youtube, but my patients ran thin after my constant fails. I hope this one is more user friendly, make the basic elements easier while still having its challenge.

Dunno, I really like the concept behind simcity games but I never much enjoyed their gameplay. Not really interested in a new game unless they radically changed their mechanics and made the game actually playable.

@neonblueshadow

it's not a puzzle game...it's a sandbox game.  creativity and freedom are kind of the point.

@aronmg Not only that, you get to stare at this ugly dotted white outline telling you where you can build. Game is garbage. EA is garbage, but we knew that.

@paparolo

For God's Sake do some research!  It's NOT a rumor.  You have to have an internet connection to play the game.  Why do you think so many people have been making a stink about this.

@vihazur Yes always connected to a server for playing even the Single player is the most anticipated part of this game...meh another Diablo 3 fiasco

When I first played SC4 I also found it hard. It seems Maxis found it hard to, since their expansion made it easier.

Still, you need to know some stuff about city planning before you really start seeing your city growing. Takes time.

moc5

@LukeWesty Seriously?  I found that building up a city was a great challenge in SC4.  I failed a bit too in the beginning because it wasnt brain dead easy, but figured out that you have to build up the country side with smaller towns to support a metropolis at the center.  It was a brilliant game, but granted, a sizable learning curve to go along with it.

 Believe me when I say give this one a shot. It is so much different than the other games and it is so much more playable and fun. Easily accessible and simple to understand, yet still more than enough depth to enjoy the game

Puzzles me, why they though it was a good idea.

Plus, is that true we won't have huge maps? Not like I need them to play a SimCity game, but they were my favorites.

@blitzinD maybe he just played the beta that was available until recently? that's my guess anyway.
