Having played both now, dc really doesn't look any better than forza. Though I'll admit it did look good before the downgrade

When I had my XB1 it was certainly a lot quieter, not sure if that was due to the power being external but there was a big difference.

There are design benefits though, such as it removing heat away from the core components, and also as something relatively cheap it's always liable to failure and therefore replacement is far easier for the consumer in this event.

The cons are that it's fugly and a bit of a nuisance.

Take your pick.

I am considering the same after the long wait and eventual flop of Driveclub - I can't help but think Sony excel at hardware but really struggle with anything else - they also seem to be resting on their laurels with updates and features where MS is very proactive in this area.

I'll give it more time though and decide in Nov.

Yet you posted the same low resolution screenshots to show a "downgrade" in another game. Do you not see the irony?

No matter what anyone posts you can always find an excuse. Not high enough resolution is a classic because pretty much every video available is captured and compressed to some degree; it's your get out of jail card. Also different weather, different time of day, different track, different cars, different this different that.

I've said already, I see the real game very differently to how I saw the promotional videos and screenshots. There is absolutely nothing else to discuss. If you have been eagerly awaiting this game too but found the visual experience to be on par with your own expectations that's great, you are lucky to be so satisfied.

Trying to convince me otherwise is futile and trying to prove through comparing pixels is totally missing the point.

Even if the weather is the determining factor in this as you claim, then Evo are guilty of creating an unrealistic representation of the game and so the downgrade feelings should be expected.

This would be a bit like how McDonalds advertise their burgers vs real life; sure it's the same thing but one has been dressed up to the max and simply doesn't represent the average burger that get's dished out to customers.

Furthermore I don't really understand your stance on this, you pretty much agree the game is dull and lifeless and yet want to nit pick semantics about the graphics... if you'd rather me rephrase and say there is probably no downgrade, but actually the game looks a lot worse than expected when playing it and it's really dull and I wish I kept my Xbox then consider it done.
