solidiTy, relax mate,,

also to answer the original question, I still enjoy the ps3 a lot, I have ps4, xbox one, wii u and a gaming pc,

the ps3 gets used for racing games as I have a g27 setup, which isn't compatable with the next gen consoles, as well as some ps plus free games which are nice,

the good thing is, most of the games are heaps cheap, so u can pick up a bargain on games u missed.

I really enjoyed the beginning of driveclub, once I got a few stars and started racing the real fast cars it became too hard,

I'm prob not that good at the game, but it definitely is fun,

right now I'm playin forza horizons 2, which I got around the same time, and I spending more time on that, simply because to me, its more competitive and not has hard to win a race.

I think with driveclub, its more a slog, u need to redo the tracks over and over again to eventually cut your laptime by a second, and then repeat the process until u get the stars.

things to note,

yes I'm using a reference card, basically purchased the hd7970 first week it was released,

I push canned air regularly, and the componenets inside the case is fairly dust free, as much as a computer can get,

secondly the airflow shouldn't really be a problem since theres good cable management, and ihave two exhaust fans on the top of the case, one big one on the side of the case and one fan on the bottom of the case, as well as two fans in front of the case pulling air in,, so its all going in one direction from the front and out the top,

idle temps on the card are about 45 to 50 degrees, it doesn't really get hot or the fan doesn't get loud when I'm watching movies, or hd movies,

its only loud, I mean really loud like 90 percent fan speed when I'm playing graphic intensive games,

not sure if I have a broken card or not but its annoying and I've resorted to playing most games on ps4 and xbox one,

thinkin of selling the computer and just buying a cheap laptop for internet usage and doing games on consoles if this keeps up,

i don't want to set it for manual because the fans are designed to keep the gpu running in safe temps,

i'm reaching about 90 degrees when gaming, so if i had it on any less then it would surely be too much and unsafe for the gpu to handle,

reason why i am asking is because its so loud, and i would assume normal fan speeds were between 35 percent to 50 percent when gaming, and not at 100 percent,

playing games like far cry 3 and 4, and watchdogs, the gpu fans go up to almost 100 percent, when set on auto,

is there something wrong?

just want to know where my specs stand in todays standards,

i have i5 2500k overclocked,

hd7970 graphics,

12gb hdd ram,

playing on 1080p,

windows 7,

should i expect the latest games and upcoming titles like gta 5 to run smoothly above medium settings?

yeah well u don't need anything then, ur all setup, all u need to do is swap the speakers with some earphones or headphones,

any will do, thats just personal opinion and what quality ur after,, i use senheiser earphones, since i'm not fussed about sound and only use it when people are sleeping,

if ur just using them to not annoy roommates watching tv, then just use any pair u have spare, like from mobile phones or whatever
