The DS lite ain't going anywhere ;) I think they are taking a step forward, just like when the DS came out, the innovation was it's touch screen, now they are offering this new technology: the 3D, and we still don't know what other features they'll add to it. That's life, they all have their life cycle, the DS is coming to an end, but the 3DS is coming :)
I like them both, but ejoy NSMB more because I can play it with my friends, and I can be the blue toad :P I didn't liked Mario Galaxy much because the soundtrak felt kind of sad and lonely, and i never knew who the girl on the book was. I still doubt if it's Princess Peach or Rossalina.
It's a wondeful system! I don't know why people complain about it, it looks very elegant (trust me, my black XL looks HOT) and feels very comfortable when playing games. The prize is definetly worth it, don't complain about it! It coasted me 250$ here in my country (Peru), so consider yourself lucky. ;) Also you don't need to be an old person to enjoy the DSiXL, I'm 16 and I'm having a great time with it. :)
