[QUOTE="p4s2p0"]You went way offf point, if the radio is there should the car company be able to disable it, or Microsoft disabling windows because of ownership change. Seems artist feel more entitled than the rest of the world.Mazoch
Microsoft does NOT allow you to trade your copy of windows, so yes they do disable if they find you selling your used copy of windows. While I haven't heard of radios being disabled, plenty of services are: Road service, Warranty, Free oil changes and GPS systems are all often tied to the purchase of a new car and do not always transfer to a new owner.
The car manufacturer is free to install whatever radio they want in their new cars. If they want to install a radio that stops working if the car is sold, they are well within their rights to do so. You, as a consumer, are then well within your right to say no thanks and buy a different car (or ride a bike).
While I'm sure microsoft doesn't like it not much they can do about it just like with movie /music cd's. Xp was the last os I bought used with no issues. But what I was taking about are people that sell their whole computer which Microsoft does NOT disable.
