@jd7904 well Matt Higby from Planetside 2 very confidently said that the game would be running on ultra settings on the PS4...that is pretty insane since it takes very decent hardware to run it on ultra on a PC...

what gets lost in these arguments is that PC games are designed to accommodate virtually thousands of different hardware configurations while for the PS4 they can just concentrate on one and optimize it....so expect more than what you can get from comparable PC hardware..

@NoidUK for multiplatform titles you cant expect a huge difference...but for exclusives there certainly can be...will have to see just how developer friendly the PS4 is now compared to the PS3...

@kelznelz85 I wish nintendo would just build a basic console with a basic controller and then it would be bought a lot...all this Wii stuff just ruins it for those who want to play the actual core games...

@Oozyrat well quite a few hardware reviews are concluding that the PS4 has 33% more graphics capability...which can probably be exploited better this generation given that the PS4 is designed to be more developer friendly...thats the problem the PS3 faced...it was not that friendly to developers...

and yes you are right...the PS4 is a specialist gamer's console while the Xbox One is a sort of gamer+TV watcher's one...it would be interesting to see if Xbox Live is required to even watch TV! I think Sony is smart that you can watch netflix and play free-to-play games (Planetside 2, Blacklight) online without PS+...

@SuperXShnaayin @rhollingsworth @joke_man @Gamerhomer ofcourse a PC will always be superior...there is no argument there...but it will take more than 400 dollars to build a PC which would be as capable as a PS4...thats where the console has its advantage...a purely gaming machine at a low cost...

I bet those executives don't even know what Halo is. Just know that its something gamers like and we need to say it in every interview.

It just seems like these executives are so disconnected from their own games. Mattrick calls it Halo 5, Spencer has no clue etc. They show a teaser at E3 which basically shows nothing.

Clearly they just wanted to give an indication to the consumer that Halo will continue. After that they have no idea where it will go. I fear for the franchise.
