Most texas fans don't like anyone who fails to win every game. Hence why 10 years from now, 90% of horn fans will only remember the name Vince Young and no one else from the past decade. Hell, I'd venture that if Major Applewhite became head coach some day in the future, most of the fans would probably forget about his days as a QB. No offense to guys like Espurs who actually have a clue (luckily I've met some respectible, non-bandwagon horn fans in my day), but the majority of horn fans are tools.
and btw, glad to see this deal finally went through. I know the A&M AD has been pushing for it hard in the past few years, glad all the parties got this done.
Do you really think those two games would coincide with one another? I would hope they're (whoever makes the schedule) smarter than that.geaux321
People have rumored that Jerry Jones may move the Cowboys game to the NFL Network night game (which would thus conflict with A&M-texas), but I for one don't really believe that Jerry Jones is moronic enough to give up the national stage at the best time of the Thanksgiving day (mid to late afternoon). President of the NFL Network or not, it'd be stupidity on a level yet unfathomable.
Honestly, the game was a bit of a fluke. A&M wanted it but the Horns played it about the same way we played in Lubbock a couple of weeks back. Texas is a much better team than that; it'll be a good rematch in Austin.
