@shingui5 Since when did corporations have to start providing services for free? Microsoft can charge whatever they want, and the consumers will then decide if they should or shouldn't pay for it.
People complain about paying $60 annually for Xbox Live where you can find hundreds of hours of entertainment, but they don't seem to mind paying near a hundred a month for their smartphone's dataplan. Seriously, if you can't handle an average of $5 a month for online gaming, then don't pay for it.
