@jinzo9988 You see you can not just blame something not thinking about others. I personally do not mind at all with any of it. If people do not like violent gun shooting games, they can go buy something else. If they don't like that then buy this. I admit I do think the market is over run with shooters but hey, it is over run by shooters because people buy shooting games. I just think people like to try and make a stand for something but do not really think about it in a deep way. You can say anything is violent, hell people get offended with anything now a days. You can not have one with out the other. I remember my mum when I was a kid not wanting to buy me toy guns but then she would buy me swords instead. You just think, hang on swords are way more brutal and violent than a gun. It is just guns are our modern day swords. Swords are kind of the past so they are easier to over look. However, there is a lot of knife crime out there. You could blame anything for that but when someone shoots a gun who is a teen they point their fingers to GTA or something crap like that! Violence is everywhere in games not just ones with guns!
@jinzo9988 Taking blood out of something does not make it any less violent, just less graphic. They are still swinging that sword to kill, weather it be human or monster! There is still a violent undertone in it no matter what.
Funny because so many games, even kiddie ones have weapons. Why is it that a gun is considered really violent and yet a sword isn't really. I tell you what, swords e.t.c are well more violent and brutal than any gun.... And yet Link runs around hacking and slashing and yet he blames violence in video games are linked with being able to shoot guns!
I just feel Nintendo are just too funnel focused on making a console around 1 soul gimmick a lone, in this case the tablet. Even if they are getting in some third party devs it is still not enough. OK, so it is still early days but it just feels like they are doing what Sega did. They messed up because of 1, no third party support and 2, tacky gadgets. Sega knew about CDs coming into play that is why they rushed out and tried to get their Mega Drive CD out so fast without thinking about how to market it first. It feels if SmartGlass starts doing what Wii U is and then if Playstation do their version Wii U will be dead before you can know it! If I was them I would think about Hardware power then third party support, then multi uses with my made machine! It is like Nintendo put too many eggs into one basket, thinking no one will do the same. But it is not the case!
Oh once again GS tries to stir things up again for it's readers for no point what-so-ever! GS likes to see all this stupid banter from even more stupid readers! Who cares about Homosexuality in games? It should be the norm like a lot of other things but done in a way not to just stereotype. Other portrayals of life need to be discussed more in games to, like disability and why not? Anyone who has a prob with homosexuality clearly just has an issue with their own sexuality! It is out there people, get over it!
Nah I doubt any would drop out and if so it would be a long time till that happens. The amount of money picked up from gaming is getting bigger and bigger as games are hitting harder into the mainstream. If say someone told me to choice one, thinking about it Sony would go first. Not that they are the worst because they are far from it. It is because 1, Microsoft do software not just hardware and Nintendo make their own first party games. Sony as good as they are only focus on hardware alone. To be honest I think Nintendo should just do games as I think they would do much better that way. They can't really do hardware and most of their talent should be making great games. If they went multi platform they can make even more money. But Nintendo would never do that as they are too stubborn for that. I would hate to see that company die because if so they would deffo stop paying for their intellectual property if the company dries up which just leave terrible greedy publishers to jump in and buy rights off them. EA owning Mario, no thanks!
The thing is I bet on paper games testing sounds amazing but when it comes down to the crunch I don't think it would be. I think it would ruin an enjoyment of just playing a game normally when you get your hands on it. Image you walk in the office in the morning and told, "OK, I want you to spend the next couple of hours doing the last section of the last level in this game and walk backwards while jumping!". It just will show you the last level of that game plus you can never play it normally! I swear once understanding about how a certain game works some of the magic disappears! I studied animation and now I can not just watch an animation film without deeply studying all its parts. I can not just sit down and enjoy a piece anymore!
