i was dedicated to getting a ps3 after hearing a little about it and the wii. i just don't have much respect for microsoft yet, so the 360 wasn't even in the picture. then i found out the ps3 was $600....then after launch i played both. i sure could see the sweat on that basketball player's face, but it felt like i was playing the same game i played on the ps2 a year before. the wii hooked me from the front menu. the controls may just be gyros inside of 2 parts of a broken n64 controller, but when you have such a hand in whats going on on-screen its hard to play games with other controllers and not feel like they are from the past. so i guess the selling point was the controller (and obviously the price; we don't all have rich parents, or parents that still support us for that matter). it really feels like the motions in the games are more of an extension of your hand than a brick that you use in a more mechanical fashion in games. i can't wait for developers to actually impliment it well and cut out all the gimicky play i have seen so far.

with my horrible electronic luck i am on my 4th ps2....first one died, second one got taken in a home robery, third one also died and my fourth fat one i got in like '04. "Disc Read Error" is some major BS....and dont assume that i dont take good care of my games, because nothing is more sacred than a ten year old disc with no scratches on it. my first one did get repaired while under waranty, but after it gave me the imfamous error message again sony didnt want to talk to me. maybe i shoulda joined that class-action lawsuit eh?

i put my SD card from my cell phone into my wii and was able to look at all jpg pictures (even though it was disapointing that i couldnt turn my pictures into backgrounds). now im trying to move a video on. so far i have changed the format to .avi and .mov after the 3gp file from my phone wouldnt read. the wii recognizes that i have a file on there, but it comes up with a question mark for a preview and it wont open. anybody know what im doing wrong?

[QUOTE="IronManRhino"][QUOTE="bofe1234"]

[QUOTE="soulfood4"]And I still love that game, i have DKC2, and 3, i would love to see a DKC4. That was such a great series, too bad they stopped making it....bofe1234

Lol i already have DKC for my SNES. ive probably played and beat it over a hundred times. probably my fav. Snes games. every DKC game after that has been released has been an abomination and in no way captures the sheer fun as the original. usually Video games get better as sequels go on. but for games like DKC, Zelda, and Siken desetsu, they are just like movies. the original is always the best.

Yeeeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there, Zelda's only gotten more graceful and beautiful with age, but DKC was really only supposed to be a last ditch effort to breathe life back into the Snes, and it worked great for a little while, the sequels, while good, weren't exactly a tour de force that I thought they'd be.

Are you serious? do you honestly believe any of the other zeldas are better than Oot or ALTTP. seriously nothing tops those games. sure its your opinion but Oot has not been topped in any way besides graphics by any other zelda game.

I hated the late DKC games. see me and my bro (when we were young) use to obsessively play DKC so when we heard the 2nd one came out we preordered and were all excited and everything. we popped it in and were severely dissapointed. wheres DK? isnt the game called DKC? not diddy kong and stupid ***** country. Also the levels were rather uninspired and just left me depressed. DKC 3 im not even going to get into. that game was HORRIBLE. IMO

btw nice office space reference.:wink:

soulfood: dk1 was the only great one bofe1234: godfather ii ironmanrhino:DKC was inovative for its time, what last ditch effort did i miss? bofe1234: ALTTP was always the best, but what office space reference?

 i got up at least twice a week before 6am for about 2 month after launch....finally i got the inside tip from a friend who stalks shelves at target. i got there late, but since the other people already had tickets i was first in line. damn it felt so good i wanted to punch someone on the way out.
