I didn't mean to say it was run and gun I just listed franchises that are dead to me. All these games have been simplified to broaden sales and reach a bigger audience or what have you which is ridiculous. New direction is one thing but to destroy parts of a game and simplifing like puzzle solving, atmosphere, story, no auto aim etc (not specific to games I mentioned earlier just in general). and some brain work that made these games great that don't appeal to a broad spectrum is piss. Without certain RPGs like Demons Souls and PC gaming, gaming would be dead to me. We got the casuals this gen, developers need to step it up for next gen.

As usual a big company goes the way of the casual gamer and dumbs down a franchise for more run and gun gameplay, action over substance and atmosphere, horse $hit. Splinter cell dead, Resident Evil dead, Silent Hill dead, Medal of Honor dead, Call of Duty dead, now Dead Space wtf. Thank you developers for thinking of us hardcore gamers who have put money in your pockets since the NES days, F.U.
