I just wanna put an end to that silly argument comparing both skyrim and Dark souls
taking into consideration that I finished as many of skyrims' side quests as possible(can't say that i finished the game ...that would be a terrible lie),played the game for about 3 months long reached level 52 or something (I was roaming around without any armor set killing badass skeleton dudes in a couple of hits)
As to Dark Souls which i've just finished and currently playing the NG+, reached level 115 and explored pretty much everything and been through artorias of the abyss DLC (on PC) here's the bottom line :
Skyrim provides catchy visuals, huge content and a thrilling gameplay DS, on the other hand, is one of those few games that delivers a real heart pounding gameplay...that adrenaline rush you feel when chased by a dog :D yeah that what dark souls is all about ...Dark souls prepare your sympathetic nervous sys edition :D
come on most of the recent AAA titles can be finished by a 10 year old kiddo
So If you find DS uninteresting, visually outdated, overrated title please DON'T think for a sec that you are a gamer..just turn around now you are not welcome anymore :D :D
Although i'm a Pc gamer with a high end gaming rig, I gotta admit..Dark souls is a masterpiece that delivers a unique gaming experience even with these limitations like being locked at 30 FPS and 1024x768 Res and the XBOX button prompts.
If you seek a visually stunning game with the latest DX11 features, it's not for you. however, if you seek real rewarding challenges, a vast world to explore, tons of monsters to kill and a heart pounding gameplay then Dark souls is what you want........BTW, the comparison between PC and consoles is a stupid one because I believe that consoles are made for gaming ...it's true that the current consoles are somewhat outdated compared to the killer PC hardware and both versions of a game are completely different in terms of visuals and fluidity but let's not forget that Consoles =a pleasing gaming experience
I agree but she referred to a couple of games that can't be classified as stealthy games at all. the only game that she got right is "thief". In fact, Deus Ex HR was pretty stealty for me and engaged my senses like no other game did, other than "Thief" of course.
