I posted something to the same effect about an hour or so I guess.  People from the beta are lauding it, but not a single professional review has found its way to the web thus far.  I feel like a rabid review-monger.  Ah well, the wait continues.  With any luck, I'll see something posted before I head to work this afternoon.  (Closing shift, management at an EB Games)

I do like that I'm hearing all positives about this game, word-of-mouth considered.   Multiplayer-only is what spooks me a little, because 60 bucks is a lot for one more FPS on the pile... Still thinking about it.  Patrolling several sites like metacritic to try and find out what reviewers everywhere are saying...  For instance, if IGN writes a review on it, I can knock two points off of that and usually get a good idea of GameSpot's score.  That's why I love you guys, you're as picky as me!

Seriously though...  Mario Party 8 reviewed, and no Shadowrun love?  This is a serious purchase decision for me...  Looks like it could keep my shooter cravings sated until late summer... If not this, I'll end up going with Forza.  Not a bad dilemma, per se, but I'd love to hear the 'Spot's word on both of them before I make my final decision.  Review, review!  *cracks whip*

Wait wait wait...  Fable 2 because Mass Effect seems like lazy developing?  That is the most backward statement I've heard in quite a while.  Mass Effect is advancing the genre in storytelling, presentation, and uncompromising depth of choice...  Fable 2 is a game made by the single most famously lying developer who has never once delivered on more than 20% of what he promised in a game.  How on earth people can still support that guy is beyond me...  I've never seen someone outside of new-system press conferences  and presidential candidates get away with such blatant dishonesty and self-promotion. :x

 Innovation FTW.

#1 reason why MS decided to pull out the Elite?

 Boredom.  8)

One needs competition to keep the market from going stale...  The Wii doesn't compete because it's not trying to (it's a whole new world in gaming) and the PS3 is lagging far behind.

I theorize that MS board members were chilling in the boardroom.  One of them says "Hey guys, this is kind of sad.  We totally need something to do."

"Why not make the 360 black?"

"Hey, what the heck."

Then they went back to counting their money... The rest is history.

I won't be buying it.  Halo is a polished product, but contains nil in the form of actual innovation.  I'm looking forward to HL2, BioShock, etc.  Shooters that advance the genre FTW!
