Sigh, I remember the good ole' days of downloading the Half-Life demo on dial up. That took a few nights downloading sessions were I could basically do nothing else on the internet since all the bandwith was gone downloading. Needed Get Right to manage the partial download. yeah, download managers totally were a thing!
Took a good few hours on a 33.6 modem. I mean, the package was 49 MBs big.
@IrishCatGod @adrianvonepic He didn't dislike the game. Quite the opposite actually. I do however agree with the sentiment that the review was a bit lacking. It was too short and to the point. He didn't spend enough time articulating the reasoning behind his scoring an 8, and he certainly (obviously) didn't explain well enough that he actually found the game to be great.
@Scorpion1813 No....no they don't.... they really really don't. I'm frankly a bit wide eyed after I've seen all the malicious and frankly not very bright comments on the review in general and on Toms professionalism specifically.
8 is a great score. The review did leave me wanting however, it was a bit short and not as informative on the game as it could have been, but thats beside the point. 8 is gr8.
Why oh why did you have to spoil certain parts of Mass Effect 3? Without any warning or anything. Carolyn even said at the beginning of the podcast !"No spoilers!". Well I guess it's not the end of the world. Just hope I will forget about the suicide part before I play the game. (Just bought it last week too). Love the podcast, but that was a real knee in the groin for me. Anyway, keep up the good work guys. I have been a listener for some 5 years now.
Oh and you migth wonder why I am so far behind the podcast schedule. Well, I haven't listened in some months, and I want to hear it all, so I take it a few episodes at a time until I catch up.
Pretty stoked as I got this free of charge (together with Crysis 3) with my new video card. Not only is the new card a beast, but the games I got are really beginning to grow on me. At first I was like, yeah, whatever, Crysis 3, thats cool, since I've liked alle the previous iterations, but Bioshock. Meh. Didn't finish the first one ( which is strange because I am the kind of guy that loves these unusual titles.) Every video I watch though gets me more and more excited for this title. It seems to be really well made and attentive to detail. I have it preloading as we speak. Thank good for bundles, right? =)
