Exactly! Hermits don't want discusion on anything. they just want to be crowned the winner. Since that hasn't happened, they are trying to force a rule which in effect declares them the winner. But to do that they have ti dismiss sales because using that makes it really hard to PROVE PC wins. So the only option for hermits that don't want discussion on the PC winning is # of AA games. How about Sales of games? Or Sales of AAA games? PC would probably win that as well, but to me it makes a lot more sense than just saying # AAA games. If a game is AAA and no one plays it...should it count? You know like if a tree falls in a forest does it still make a sound? Or better yet, why does it matter if the tree fell if no one heard it?

For a second I thought the Ps3 was the top next gen system with how you laid it out :lol:

Well that is a very valid discussion point. If a system only has a handful of games but they are clearly the best games around...that does leave you with a strong argument to say it was the best. Many would rather play a few truly outstanding games instead of a bunch of good games.

So if a system has the best game ever on earth. Everyone buys it and it's pretty much the only thing they play. Since most the planet bought it and only played this one game...which system wins? The system that sold 1million units but has 3 AAA games or the system that sold 1 Billion units and only one game?

Let me add another twist to this. What if a system sells 2 million units and has 50 AA games but no AAA games.Now which system wins.

If you use use option 1...then it's either the system with 3 AAA games or the system with 50 AA games.
If you use option 2...then the system that everyone is playing is the winner with the 1 AAA game.

If you use option 3, it's all up for discussion.

Yep. I've noticed the hermits have been falling apart on logic lately. vandalvideo has had the most meltdown lately, but Casey's logic is really falling apart as of late.

I'd agree. But (if I understand his argument) casey says the system with 3 AAA games on it. Even if all three of those games were able to be beaten with rental time period. And the system that sold 1000 times more and only sold 1 game but everyone played it all the time would be at best 2nd place.

Correct. Just like the original vote on this that got this started. It was very one-sided. But when faced with other sides of the coin it doesn't look so clear now does it?
