How about World of Final Fantasy? It got decent reviews, looks like the Switch could run it, and style-wise I think it fits the Nintendo brand as well.

I'm looking forward to this. It's probably going to be super camp, but let's not pretend like all of the Marvel superhero movies have deep and amazing storylines.

RE7 seems like a great game, but for me there are other games I'd like to buy during the first semester of 2017. Also, I think the problem might be that the price point is too high for what RE7 offers: a 10 hour videogame with little replay value (other than a new difficulty mode) and no multiplayer. It's something that doesn't bother me that much, but other people might be bothered by it. I'm honestly waiting until this game drops under 40 dollars.

@bacontophat45: In that case, I agree. For people who haven't played KH (or even fans who have only played 1 and 2), these 3 sets are a great addition. But I find $60 for a remaster of 1 DS game (with some extra stuff from 2 other games added in) a VERY steep price. The upcoming 1.5 and 2.5 compilation for $60 is a way better deal as you get 4 full games. Too bad full remasters of Re:Coded and 365/2 Days are still missing in the remaster collections.

I usually don't watch other people play video games, but Resident Kinevil has been entertaining for me, especially Mary and Mike playing RE1 and RE2. You can feel the change of pace in RE4 just by Mary's playthrough: it's become a shooter game, and it shows in Mike and Mary's attitudes and reactions. I'm anticipating their RE7 playthrough.

@dominoodle: That would be awesome, but KH2.8 is not 'all of the games' remastered. It's 1 remaster, a random chapter that's connected to a different game, and an hour long cut scene to yet another game. So, even if you own the 3 originlal games, SE is still coming for your money (for an unreleased cut scene and a chapter), hoping to make sense of the contrived mess that KH has become.

@lembu90: I don't think FF has ever been a threat to Persona. Persona is a more niche series because of its characteristics (complex fusion systems, challenging battles, dating sim-like storytelling, dark storyline). FF is a completely different style of RPG. Persona fans are going to be buying Persona 5 anyways (I know I am).

Great video, I hope to see more reporting like this on GS in the future!

It seems like Capcom might be onto something with RE7: players of the original trilogy will find their way back to the original survival-horror gameplay, fans of the recent RE games might just purchase RE7 because they enjoyed the last 2 installments as well, and there might be 2 new kinds of players as well: the younger gamers who never played any of the RE games and might be pulled in by all the publicity of RE7 and a new generation of zombie-worshippers (thanks to the success of the Walking Dead).

I'm not purchasing the game day 1, but I'll probably pick it up later this year.
